The Anglesey Arms is nestled in the picturesque hamlet of Halnaker, renowned as a red-brick village favourite with both returning locals and fleeting visitors needing some respite. Our newly refurbished pub offers traditional country charm fused with a renovated contemporary finish throughout all our interiors and gardens. From ordering a round in at the garden bar, to having a meal in our intimate dining room, you'll feel at home and catered for any time of the day.

Very dog friendly, with a lot of dogs, so not the sort of place to visit if you aren’t - we are, so that was fine! The children’s food was still quite ‘grown up’, (with ‘fancy bits’) even though the menu looked simple - burger, nuggets&chips etc. so if you have fussy children that like very plain food, this is probably not ideal. We had a lovely meal, and the noise level wasn’t too bad for a Thursday evening. Service was pretty good, although we did have to go and find them to pay our bill at the end. Would definitely go again.

There were plenty of staff but none of them were working. The meal took a long time to arrive but when it did the food was ok. There were only 2 tables occupied in the dining room and very few people in the garden, so why it all took so long is a mystery. No one came to ask if we wanted extra drinks or coffee. We had to wait a long time for our bill and in the end had to go looking for someone to take payment. All in all very disappointing and we won't be going back.

Been a local for 16 years and have never been so decided to try and very impressed!! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was relaxing will definitely be going back!!

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch here. Staff were very attentive and the food was outstanding. Beautifully presented and very tasty. The vegetarian option of lentil and butternut squash filo tart was exceptional (as was the lemon and honey cheesecake dessert). Best pub Sunday lunch I have had so far in the Chichester area.

A wonderful meal! We stayed at the local vineyard and walked. Staff were welcome and accommodating. Large selection of drinks - I had a nice aperol spritz and food was well presented and delicious. We had a lovely time and would def return if ever in the area again

This is a fantastic place to eat! The food and service and friendly staff also made it extremely enjoyable. And all this despite the fact that the previous week it had been closed for what sounded like a very busy corporate event. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. And I’ve been several times before. It’s consistently first class.

The food was enjoyed by all of our party of five. Let down slightly by the mushroom dish, the small size of which, coming without side dishes, surprised both individuals who chose it.

They had a big table in but still out food came out in great time and of excellent quality. Very tasty. My only reason for not giving 5 stars for everything was having to change my baby on my knees on the toilet floor. Not very dignified for me or her

Great evening out. Friendly helpful service, delicious food and an excellent bottle of wine made for a great evening. The pub is lively and bustling - lovely. And deserts were fab too. An excellent evening. Thank you the Anglesey Arms team.

Brilliant food…Thank you! We were a party of seven…England were playing and the pub was so busy… but, parking was easy, the welcome was friendly, service was prompt without being intrusive, and the food was absolutely delicious!! A lovely pub…with Gastro flair!!
