Le Anglesea Arms se trouve sur Selwood Terrace à South Kensington, où Charles Dickens a résidé au numéro 11. Le site était à l'origine, en 1712, un jardin maraîcher et une garderie. Il s'agit d'un magnifique pub traditionnel dont l'atmosphère est encore plus ancienne que l'apparence. Il possède une solide réputation pour son excellente nourriture et son choix de boissons. Une grande terrasse s'étend sur le devant du pub et quelques tables se trouvent sur le côté, où vous pouvez manger en profitant du soleil (s'il y en a).

    Great, friendly service and the food was excellent! Clearly a very popular spot, it was packed the whole night. Look forward to the next time!!

    Lovely atmosphere but they don’t cater for allergies. I’ve never experienced this before and had to walk out - very upsetting, do better.

    The front pub area and outdoor space were great, but the restaurant was underwhelming and overpriced for what it was.

    Sunday lunch is ludicrously large. Quality good. All diners bunched together so claustrophobic, hot and noisy. Fire exit blocked by table with 6 diners.

    Hello Julie, Thank you so much for your feedback! We do tend to get quite busy for Sunday lunch time. We do recommend booking late Sunday evening or weekday lunch time for a much quieter and less crowded atmosphere.     Food was adequate but for the cost it was nothing special. Shared starter and Sunday roast was well presented but potatoes were overly crispy, and meat was very fatty. Charged £1 for extra small gravy boat. Beer wasn’t well poured with hardly any head. Waiting staff were polite.

    Nice small restaurant at back of pub. Calm atmosphere which was lovely in London, staff were very attentive and quality of food was good. London prices of course so not cheap but a very enjoyable few hours and would recommend.

    Little disappointed. Daughter had highly recommended and we took the Underground to eat there. Food was good but service was not up to our expectations. We asked to sit be window but server said that was a four top and we were a couple. We were the only ones in the restaurant so not very accommodating. The only two tops were by the stairs (which everyone from the pub passed enroute to the toilet) and one other which had a view of the server’s area and the cleaning supplies. Then when a family of four arrived, the server placed them right next to us (less than 2 feet) when there was an entire dining area of empty tables. Ambiance was dead due to lack of clientele. Should have opted for the pub or outside which were quite lively. My steak was good and wife had the fish but not sure of the nestle 100 pound bill.

    Lovely, cosy restaurant with candle lit tables. Had the beef wellington which was delicious and a fantastic rhubarb trifle. Great service. Would recommend!
