D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Les ingrédients de saison sont à la base du menu interculturel des chefs Minh Phat Tu et Mike Madokoro, qui propose des plats allant des nouilles tirées à la main à l'agneau braisé dans une sauce au beurre, en passant par le temaki et le tataki de bœuf. Une cuisine ouverte et un décor rustique comprenant des œuvres d'art de la grand-mère de Madokoro donnent un ton décontracté à la dégustation de plats qui repoussent les limites et qui s'accompagnent de vins naturels originaux.

We did the valentines tasting menu and everything was perfect. The standout was the pork cheek. 10/10

We wanted to try something local and small, and the vibe at Anemone was perfect for that. The staff were amazing and the service was great. Unfortunately the dishes we chose were not really to our liking. We tried the temaki, the gnocchi, the gravlax and the bang bang noodles. We were disappointed by 3 out of 4, with many of the flavors being too tart or sharp. For the $200 with drinks, tax and tip, I think we could have had a better experience elsewhere. We always like to support local chefs and small business, but in this case it didn't quite work out.

Ce restaurant est géré de main de maître par des professionnels. Beaucoup de plaisirs et de créativités en cuisine et dans les assiettes. Du savoureux et du satisfaisant. Une belle leçon de restauration.

Now one of my top 5 restaurants in Montreal: amazing food (you absolutely have to try the beef & oyster tartare), place and atmosphere!

Great ambiance and service, however the food was not very good. Out of the 6 dishes we tried, 2 were good and the rest missed the mark - they either lacked seasoning or did not have a good balance of flavors.

My daughter and I had a very enjoyable dinner for two at Anenome. The food is truly delicious and, to my palate, quite novel. I would definitely go again!

Wonderful space, visited during winter so we had no access to the outside terrace, but it looked nice. The food was very good, flavors were well balanced and portions were good. Nothing to fault, out waitress was attentive while not being over bearing. Her recommendation for plates and wine were excellent. One of us was lactose intolerant and one was pregnant. There were no problems to accommodate the menu. Will be going back.

Here's the revised review with a brief mention of the table placement: We recently dined at Anemone to celebrate a special occasion: my husband’s birthday and our first wedding anniversary. Overall, it was a delightful evening with some of the best food we’ve had in a long time. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with incredible flavors. The temakis were so good we ordered them twice, and my husband absolutely loved the gnocchi, calling it one of the best he’s ever had. The ris de veau dish was a standout for me—it was my first time trying it, and I was thoroughly impressed. Everything we ordered was thoughtfully prepared and truly a testament to the kitchen’s skill. The only slight downside was our table placement. We were seated next to a utility closet, which took away from the ambiance at times, but the amazing food and attentive service made up for it. Overall, we had a fantastic evening and will definitely return to enjoy more of Anemone’s incredible dishes.
