Comforting favorites in Avondale by Chefs Johnny Clark and Beverly Kim inspired by old-world cooking. Start your meal with a selection of beverages like a bottle of trendy orange wine or head to the bar after work with no reservation needed for a craft cocktail like The Muse with gin and beet kvass. Our appetizer cart will roll to your table to start your dinner with over 10 bites beckoning to be picked like our fan-favorite smoked carrot paté or sunflower seed hummus. Our main dishes offer a variety of homestyle flavors just like your mother made from thick soups to layered pasta and fluffy Ukrainian garlic bread.     One of the coolest new restaurants in the city! Absolutely loved the dim sum cart and enjoyed every single dish! We will definitely be coming back.

    The food was flavorless and dry. When the waiter asked if it was our first time there we said yes, so they only think he went over was just the alcohol list and explain nothing about the food. Generally, you would get your drinks first before the food came out, but we started getting food before we ever got any drinks. For the price, it is very overly price for what we received.

    Wonderful atmosphere and excellent food. the Blind Beauty was one of the most unique cocktails I have ever experienced

    Very similar feel as Parachute (down to the decor). Very glad that the food is interesting and the flavours are amazing. Great for sharing. The quantity is small given the price charged, that's the only issue I have. But if price/value is not a concern, it's great. I loved our meal.

    Amazing food, and even a lot of choices for vegetarians considering that Eastern European cuisine can be very meat focused. Lots of different flavors so our table of 4 ended up sharing almost all the plates. Portions are not oversized which is nice. We had a late reservation on a weeknight and I did feel that the waiter rushed us just a bit, as we left we could see the kitchen was closing. Waiter was knowledgeable about wine choices. We were in the dacha room which is quieter than the main dining room so had a good conversation. All in all a wonderful evening and we will be going back again.

    Absolutely incredible experience! We went for my birthday as I’ve been a Parachute fan and wanting to try Anyela for a while. Service was excellent, the staff was incredibly kind and fun, helpful and accommodating. And the food, as promised, did not disappoint. Highlights included small bites like trout roe tarts selected from a JEWELED CART, exceptional borsh, and my personal favorite: a whole smoked mackerel. Dessert was equally splendid, a strawberry Napoleon towered in fresh, fluffy cream. Flavor profiles were lovely, lots of pickled items in reference to both Korean and Ukrainian culture, quirky and imaginative cocktails and beautifully selected wines. We had a marvelous time and definitely want to return! A+++

    Anelya puts a creative spin on Ukrainian food. The chefs are Ukrainian as are many of the servers and hostess. I'm so happy help Ukrainian people who have come here. They are hard working and very creative.
