If you have ever eaten Dim Sum, you will be sorely disappointed. The food tasted like the kitchen appeared from where we sat-- not qualified to serve Dim Sum. The food tasted like it was cooked by someone who heard someone tell a story of eating Dim Sum fourth or fifth hand. If we were unfamiliar with the cuisine, with the culture, we would be unlikely to eat it again because of the poor impression left by this meal. The ambience is fun and full of promise, but the food will have it shuddered soon enough if it is ever frequented by people who are better familiar with the items on the menu from other dining experiences.

I don't know if we arrived for brunch at an off hour as there were only three tables occupied. But that was great for us - quiet and great service on top of the yummy food. And beverages. I can only hope that if we come back at a busy time everything will be as wonderful!

This was our first time trying And Dim Sum. We decided to visit because they are participants in Richmond Restaurant Week. We (my husband and I) both ordered from their Restaurant Week menu. I chose the cucumber salad starter, the scallops and glass noodles main, and the chocolate rice mousse dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed it all! My husband chose the Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts starter (I stole a taste - yum!), the Tofu Dan Dan Noodles main, and the almond cookie dessert. We shared the desserts, which were both VERY good! He also enjoyed all his choices. He particularly enjoyed the chili sauce condiment provided on the table - it enhanced the dish perfectly. We also enjoyed a pot of their Jade Oolong tea. Service was excellent. My only criticism has nothing to do with food or service...it's about the chopsticks. They are plastic, which is a lifelong, personal peeve of mine. I find them horrific to use! I spied a basket of what I believe were wrapped chopsticks for the take-out orders. When we visit again, I plan to ask for a set of those to use if they are bamboo. Overall, a wonderful experience! The aesthetic is cool, but welcoming - we really enjoyed the music offerings. We look forward to our next visit!

This was my second visit and I wanted to take some neighbors to enjoy it also. When I booked this, I did not realize it was Richmond restaurant week, which made it more crowded than I would normally expect it to be, so the service was a bit slow, but considering that they have to go up and downstairs to get everything it was OK. Everyone enjoyed the food and the menu!

With so many dining options in Richmond, And Dim Sum provides a different and unique dining experience. The small dim sum style plates were all delicious. The drinks menu was also fun. While not a traditional Chinese dim sum, with fewer choices than is typical, each dish was super flavorful. Holly was a very attentive server, ensuring we always had anything we needed. Overall a great dining experience-we’ll definitely go again!

And Dim Sum is aesthetically pleasing but the food left much to be desired. There aren’t many options especially if you have any type of dietary restrictions. The only fried rice on the menu is kimchi fried rice and I’m not a kimchi fan. I don’t eat beef or pork so that narrowed my options down to about three things. I chose the calamari and shrimp dumplings. The calamari had no flavor, the dipping sauce that came with it was supposed to be spicy but lacked depth of flavor as well. There was also an over abundance of bell peppers and onions to cover the fact that there weren’t many actual pieces of calamari in the dish. The shrimp dumplings were fair but they weren’t the most flavorful either, they were reminiscent of store bought dumplings.
