At the intersection of Harbor Point and Fells Point, Ampersea is redefining cuisine that's modern, Maryland, authentic. A destination innovating the way Baltimore dines on the Patapsco River. Perched on the western corner of Thames Street and located in the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Museum building with the Living Classrooms Foundation, Ampersea dining room, patio, and event spaces offer a stunning combination of panoramic harbor views, impeccable service, and delectable dishes. During our busy season the restaurant has policies in place that may affect your reservation. please review the following:
- Entire party arrived to be sat
- All parties larger than 4 people must call into the restaurant to schedule their reservation.
- All tables are subject to an 18% auto-gratuity.
- Outdoor dining is not guaranteed for all reservations but is first come first serve.

We were excited to try Ampersea after such great reviews. The food was excellent but the atmosphere was not. It was over the top loud in the indoor dining space to the point conversation with server was very difficult. The outside space was better if weather permits.

Two colleagues and I went to Ampersea for lunch to celebrate one colleague's move to Boston. We have all been there sevreal times before. We sat inside due to the rain. The space is fun and inviting and we had a wonderful server. The food was great, but a but pricey - what isn't these days. I'd recommend for a special occasion, but not an everyday lunch. When weather permits, the outdoor patio is a great atmosphere for brunch, dinner and drinks.

I went for brunch and ordered the Ampersea omelette, which is prepared with Maryland blue crab, and was delicious.

Joey(the manager) was very welcoming, very accommodating and very friendly and the atmosphere was awesome. We had an outstanding time.. Make sure you check them out. Linda

Nice waterside restaurant. Menu is limited, portions are small, food is very average. Not good value for food. They can use improvement with providing you with exactly what the menu describes. My chopped salad did not have tomato or cucumber in it as stated on the description of the dish. It was also a small portion and they added the dressing before delivering to the table. It was extremely pungent & vinegar-y. Prices on their website are different from menu in restaurant. About $4-6 higher in restaurant. Bait & switch?

Alyssa was a marvelous server. Fuscia and Joey was the managers on duty. They made us feel truly welcome. The food and drinks were too notch.

Joey, the manager, was too busy staging photo-ops to check on our dinner. We decided to leave after the wrong entrees were presented after a more than one hour wait post-apps. (Paid for what we consumed prior.)
