At the intersection of Harbor Point and Fells Point, Ampersea is redefining cuisine that's modern, Maryland, authentic. A destination innovating the way Baltimore dines on the Patapsco River. Perched on the western corner of Thames Street and located in the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Museum building with the Living Classrooms Foundation, Ampersea dining room, patio, and event spaces offer a stunning combination of panoramic harbor views, impeccable service, and delectable dishes. During our busy season the restaurant has policies in place that may affect your reservation. please review the following:
- Entire party arrived to be sat
- All parties larger than 4 people must call into the restaurant to schedule their reservation.
- All tables are subject to an 18% auto-gratuity.

Restaurant was beautiful at night. Food was off the charts delicious! Parking was close. Manager Joey made us feel at home. Thanks for a wonderful night out !

Excellent lunch at Ampersea. Waterfront view is gorgeous. Salmon wrap with side salad is delicious.

The Atmosphere is wonderful by the water. The bottomless brunch drinks are excellent. The food is Pretty Good. I usually get the Ampersea omelette, is Great! This time I tried something different and went with the Mediterranean Omelette. It wasn’t that great. However, my best friend had steak and eggs and she enjoyed it. I love this place but, next time I’ll stick with seafood.

First time here- and we will be coming back! Beautiful views, food was amazing, staff was kind, friendly and didn’t rush us.Joey- even took us down to the boats and took pictures of our family for our daughters birthday. Bavarian pretzel with crab dip was to die for. Great experience!

Enjoyed a lovely anniversary dinner! Every staff member was friendly & helpful. Our waiter gave great recommendations & the food & drinks were delicious (as always).The short rib is my absolute favorite! & I appreciate that they have delicious mocktails on the menu as well.

I really, really wanted to like this place. Woke up early on a Saturday and eagerly awaited our 11am resies (which weren’t even necessary). Came for a birthday celebration, hence the notes in the reservations, with no mention of said birthday upon our arrival or during our hour long visit. Sat outside and hoped the birds didn’t land on our food, while we watched them dance across other tables and place settings. Ewe. Also came for shrimp devil eggs, per the menu online, only to discover there was no such a thing on the “real” menu. Disappointed, but settled for the Seafood Salad reluctantly. Placed order and guess what?!? Server came back to say they didn’t have that either! At this point I opted for an appetizer and decided we simply won’t be back. The hype in the reviews makes me question if they were legit?!? Super lack luster experience.

I have had nothing but great experiences at Ampersea; however, I chose it as a location to have a very important lunch meeting recently and we were told there was an event happening. We were then told that we had to be out of the restaurant by 2pm, when our reservation was scheduled for 1pm. It would have been nice to know this in advance and not when we were informed, which was at 1:24pm. We had to take the lunch elsewhere because of the time restriction.
