We come from Greece. We’ve grown up with our moms and grandmas being our dedicated everyday chefs at home!
We brought our love for Mediterranean flavours and gave it a home in a friendly and cosy place, five minutes walk from Hyde Park, in the heart of London.
For us, food is not a mere need but a true joy, a feeling of cosiness, comfort and time with family.
This is what we want everyone to feel at Ammos. The Greek Cuisine in the heart of London.

    Unfortunately not recommended. We have been there for Birthday, which nobody recognised, although it was mentioned in the reservation. Food was overcooked (we had pastisio). Service was slow. And prices are way to high for the bad food.

    The meat maze platter was wonderful. Greek salad is a must. The lamb chops were superb, while the cutlet was just a bit tough. The lamb skewers were excellent. The chicken skewers, while flavorful were a bit dry.

    Excellent healthy food and wine. Good atmosphere. Has the feel of a local taverna.

    The ambient looks Greece, but it's too small and not so comfortable. The wait for the dishes was too long. Prawns were not fresh.

    Fantastic meal! Very attentive staff and charming location. Our server answered our questions about the menu and was able to offer suggestions for what we may like to order.

    The wine list is extortionate. Nothing under £30 bottle. Main courses also very expensive. However, the quality of the food is good. Excellent lamb. Not a very generous portion of pitta bread with 2 starters, but more was requested and came quickly. Only one waitress, which was not enough for a good service on a Friday night. Received bad advice from her about accompaniments to lamb kebab. There was enough salad, and I didn’t need to order a Greek salad as well. Attention was lacking, and when the proprietor, or someone influential, came in and started giving platters of desserts and sambbucas to other Greek diners he knew, we decided not to stay for a baklava, which is a shame. It’s a small space, and they need to be more discreet about favouritism. It was annoying. We won’t be going back.

    Everything was delicious, especially the lamb Kleftiko! The owner is very welcoming and friendly and the service is great.
