The Levant is the place where the sun rises, geographically it covers the region bordering the eastern Mediterranean Sea. This region hosted a vast variety of cultures through history creating what is now known as the Levantine Cuisine which is the specialty of Ammatoli.

AMMATOLI is distinctive and extraordinarily fresh and healthy. We use only the finest quality ingredients, honoring the traditional recipes and exotic flavors from the cuisines of the Levant... and served in a warm and welcoming ambiance!

Our Mediterranean influenced kitchen gains inspiration from the best cuisine the Levant has to offer. Our fresh creative menu items are always made from scratch. Our guest who has traveled frequently in the Middle East and loves that regional food was very favorably impressed. Those of us new to it enjoyed it very much too. The service and ambience is lovely.

Our food server was very sweet and was knowledgeable about the menu. This was our first time here, so we had a number of questions about what food items they were known for. We ordered the spicy hummus and the homemade pita bread, plus the olives and pickles for our mezze course. We followed that with the meat pizza (for describing purposes only!) and the skewers with a side of pilaf for our entrees. The hummus is some of the best that I've had outside of ordering it in the Middle East, wonderfully smooth and creamy, with the right amount of olive oil. An order of the fresh made pita is also a must and truly outstanding! I would order something different from the olives and pickles, which were good, but not anything amazing. The pizza was interesting and tasty, but after one piece, I was looking for something else. The skewers were excellent, but I think that I would order the lamb and chicken instead of the rib eye which was a bit chewy. All in all, we were happy with our experience and would return.....in fact, my mouth is watering thinking about the pita bread and hummus alone!

Food was great! The host was helpful in accommodating last minute change to the reservation. Service was fine, server was friendly but there seems to be some strictness of what you can order. Asked to order more pickled turnips and was told no because they didn’t have a button to ring it in. She said she couldn’t request any from the kitchen either. Auto gratuity of 22% for our party of 5 (2 kids). Server was clear about it which I appreciate, but as a rule for the restaurant seemed a little much.

Had a wonderful birthday celebration for my mother-in-law‘s 85th birthday. Great meeting spot between Los Angeles and Tustin. Jen our server was busy with multiple groups, but still attentive and showed us the love at the right moments. Great baklava!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at AMMATOLI. The food and service were exceptional. Definitely recommend it and we'll be coming back.
