The Levant is the place where the sun rises, geographically it covers the region bordering the eastern Mediterranean Sea. This region hosted a vast variety of cultures through history creating what is now known as the Levantine Cuisine which is the specialty of Ammatoli.

AMMATOLI is distinctive and extraordinarily fresh and healthy. We use only the finest quality ingredients, honoring the traditional recipes and exotic flavors from the cuisines of the Levant... and served in a warm and welcoming ambiance!

Our Mediterranean influenced kitchen gains inspiration from the best cuisine the Levant has to offer. Our fresh creative menu items are always made from scratch. The result is a cuisine that is tasty and exotic. Levantine food is the epitome of the Mediterranean diet, healthy food, high on vegetables and big on flavor!

The food was delicious. It’s definitely a must try! The ambiance was great. Our server provided excellent service and answered all our questions. This was my second time here and I was blown away!

If you love high quality mediterranean style cuisine this would be your favorite restaurant. The hummus and sea bass are my personal favorite. The flavor are rich, fresh and top of the line. I can’t wait to enjoy family and try other dishes.

Ammatoli is great - I’ve been a long time goer. I will say consistently the one thing that needs to improve is the service. Having a pulse on too much or too little service is truly an art - there are often lulls in the service, water was never refilled, had to flag server down, etc. I would still come back because the food is consistently delicious but would love to see their front of house coordinate a bit better.

We ordered Hors d' oeuvers and dinner simulteaneously and it arrived ALL at the same time. Made the table very crowded. Would have liked to enjoy the hors d' oeuvers and then be able to enjoy the main course. This may have been related to only allowing you 1 1/2 hours for the table when you make the reservation. Overall it was enjoyable meal and experience.

We booked via open table the same day. Service was quick, and friendly. The food was delicious, good portion sizes. My wife and I ordered the Hummus and Pita. The pita comes as three large blown up bread. The hummus was delicious. For entree: we both had the Ammatoli shawarma gyro style and a side of rice. We had enough food to carry a plate with us. The waiter Peter was friendly, he knew the menu and was able to make suggestions. We will return the next time we are in Long Beach.
