The Levant is the place where the sun rises, geographically it covers the region bordering the eastern Mediterranean Sea. This region hosted a vast variety of cultures through history creating what is now known as the Levantine Cuisine which is the specialty of Ammatoli.

Overall would come back, the food was excellent. The challenges with service not necessarily with the server. She was very friendly! A couple of questions asked re differentiation of items she was unsure of, but moreover was very reluctant or immediate not to allow changes or even ask the bar or kitchen. One can presume that is not her or her service but restaurant protocol, but the two requests we made were not outrageous. For example, leaving the olives to the side of the Jibne Manoushe. The chef refused due to presentation. The olives are not IN the dish and the few sit centered, atop, so it wasn’t an outlandish request. Though claiming an allergy would remove them altogether (vs an abject distaste for) so what’s the difference per se? So…an “allergy” it is and now nobody gets olives in this case. The other was a simple bar order request made more complicated by the reluctance to even ask and my own self coming up with the solution. Also, our many items ordered came all at once on a crowded 2 top, even though 2 items were placed as “starters.” Aside: the table at which we were originally sat had a wet chair which soaked through my guest’s pants. With no immediate attention (assistance to call) we moved ourselves to another table. The restaurant temp was quite warm for 11:30 AM but after 30 minutes the A/C finally kicked in/was turned on. Just small points of feedback -all said , the food was excellent and would return on that! Kudos.

This place had been on my list to visit and I was not let down. Starting with the environment it's very spacious, high ceilings, plants add a great touch to the interior design. Food was delicious, started off with spicy hummus, eggplant and falafel. Ordered the mint lemonade and ordered the gyro plate with fluffy pita bread. This place is a must come and make a reservation as this place is popping. Will come back soon.

Server Jennifer and supporting wait/bus staff A+ Fried cauliflower was divine. French fries not so much..not crispy and just nothing incredible. Lamb chops not the best in Long Beach, but very good and properly cooked.

Lilly was a nice server. She checked in with us pretty regularly. Service is most important, secondly the food was so amazing! I always want to come back.

Ammatoli is an exciting and excellent meal, each time I’m there. Seasonal gnats were a bit distracting. A ceiling fan would most likely eliminate the issue.

We recently dined at Ammatoli, and I have to say it was a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely excellent from start to finish. We started with the Mediterranean Fries and Hummus as appetizers. The fries were perfectly crispy with a delightful blend of spices, and the hummus was creamy and flavorful, paired with freshly baked pita bread. For our main course, we opted for the Mini Shawarma Wraps and Shrimp Skewers. The shawarma wraps were incredibly tasty, with tender, well-seasoned meat and fresh vegetables. The shrimp skewers were cooked to perfection, juicy, and deliciously marinated. Our waitress, Mary, was incredibly helpful and provided us with the best service. She was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, Ammatoli offers a wonderful dining experience with exceptional food and top-notch service. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Very delicious food. Enjoyed the freshly baked pita. The mezze was delicious (we got hummus, labneh, and batata harra). Our table of 4 shared a mixed plate of 4 kebabs, spicy garlic lemon chicken, and a Greek salad. I do not believe we left even a scrap of food uneaten. My personal favorites were the kafta kebab and the labneh, but everything was delicious. We will be back. I am looking forward to trying some of the other freshly baked breads next time.
