The Levant is the place where the sun rises, geographically it covers the region bordering the eastern Mediterranean Sea. This region hosted a vast variety of cultures through history creating what is now known as the Levantine Cuisine which is the specialty of Ammatoli.

AMMATOLI is distinctive and extraordinarily fresh and healthy. We use only the finest quality ingredients, honoring the traditional recipes and exotic flavors from the cuisines of the Levant... and served in a warm and welcoming ambiance!

Our Mediterranean influenced kitchen gains inspiration from the best cuisine the Levant has to offer. Our fresh creative menu items are always made from scratch. The result is a cuisine that is tasty and exotic. Levantine food is the epitome of the Mediterranean diet, healthy food, high on vegetables and big on flavor!

    The restaurant is super cute; it is clear that attention was paid to every detail. The food is outstanding! Local and fresh ingredients shine in every dish and imported spices elevate each recipe to the high notes of flavor. I am still thinking about each every bite... We had - beet hummus - dolmas - mutabbal (out of this world) - tabbouleh - fattoush - cucumber yogurt - spicy lemon chicken - halibut - walnut baklava - olive oil cake All were outstanding (and mutabbal was the best I've ever had; the eggplant smokiness + creaminess was absolute perfection!) Nice selection of wines and a very pleasant bar. (I'd come here to hang at the bar!) The staff was lovely and the chef is wonderful. Thank you for making this gem available to us!!!

    We ordered a variety of the menu items and from the appetizer to the dessert, everything was excellent at a wonderful value. Only drawbacks were bathroom lines and a friendly but busy waiter who forgot to serve us some requested items.

    We frequent this restaurant and always recommend it. This visit we were seated late so we had to rush to make it to a local performance. The fly issues from past still exist. Food and service are still stellar.

    My friend and I read reviews and based on high ratings decided to go. So happy we did, and more importantly, so HAPPY WE HAD A RESO!! Even for Saturday lunch, it is needed! Wonderful service and DELICIOUS FOOD!!

    This is an excellent restaurant! The atmosphere is very nice and warm. The food is some of the best Mediterranean I’ve ever eaten and I eat it a lot. We were visiting Long Beach from Memphis and very lucky to have found this gem!

    Not the first time I go to Ammatoli. Usually order the same food, including tabouli And Batata Harra. But Batata Harra came way over cooked and asked the server to change it. He stated that this is the way it comes. Tabouli came almost no olive oil, so we asked for some olive oil, but the server said we have to charge you four dollars extra. I told him I don’t want extra olive oil. I want olive oil in the tabouli. He totally ignored my request. We left some food and wanted some Takeaway boxes. I asked the server if we have to pay for them as well !!!! I usually give 25% tips. I ended up giving only 15%. Moral of the story don’t be cheap with your customers. It will cost you more.

    We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation. The restaurant manager told me to wait outside with my three kids at 106° temperature outside while there was plenty of room inside the restaurant that was extremely rude and I just did not understand his behavior for me that it’s not Customer service we had to leave the restaurant and wait outside in the heat until our table got ready
