The Levant is the place where the sun rises, geographically it covers the region bordering the eastern Mediterranean Sea. This region hosted a vast variety of cultures through history creating what is now known as the Levantine Cuisine which is the specialty of Ammatoli.

AMMATOLI is distinctive and extraordinarily fresh and healthy. We use only the finest quality ingredients, honoring the traditional recipes and exotic flavors from the cuisines of the Levant... and served in a warm and welcoming ambiance!

Our Mediterranean influenced kitchen gains inspiration from the best cuisine the Levant has to offer. Our fresh creative menu items are always made from scratch. Ammatoli was a delightful brunch spot to celebrate a birthday! We thoroughly enjoyed Chef Dima's Shakshouka, Muttabal, and warm, fresh pitas straight from the oven. The Yalanji Grape Leaves were a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was indeed elegant and clean, creating a relaxing dining experience. While we were disappointed to find out the moussaka, which many reviews praised, isn't available for brunch, we'll definitely be back to try it at dinner. The service was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome. Don't skip dessert! The Baklawa and Umm Ali, a decadent bread pudding, were heavenly, as other guests mentioned. We highly recommend starting with the Shakshouka and saving room for the sweet treats. Oh, and the lamb & beef mixed gyro was also delicious! It had just the right amount of seasoning and wasn't heavy at all.

Save your money. If you’re expecting an authentic middle eastern spread.. Do not come here. Avoid this place if you can. Beef shwarma is extremely dry. The mixed gril doesn’t come with any rice or hummus. It is served a la cart. Goto “Open Sesame” instead. Much better flavor and much better for the money.

This is absolutely my new favorite place. There’s only one personal trip for me. It is not in my neck of the woods… but, when ever I am ever near Long Beach, I am here. The food is amazing and so is the hostess Violetta !!!

Mario was our waiter and at first he was great and after taking our order, we never heard from him again. Never came to check on us, our drinks sat empty nearly an hour before finally another waiter came over and asked. Other than that, the food and ambience was excellent. Unfortunately it’s the poor service I’ll remember and overall rate.

Ammatoli has delicious food, great service and a wonderful ambiance. We ordered 3 things for 3 people and shared. Must haves are the pita and Muttabul (sp?). If I had to say anything other than it was wonderful, I will say the restaurant is loud, but we managed to deal with it! Cannot wait to return!
