The Levant is the place where the sun rises, geographically it covers the region bordering the eastern Mediterranean Sea. This region hosted a vast variety of cultures through history creating what is now known as the Levantine Cuisine which is the specialty of Ammatoli.

AMMATOLI is distinctive and extraordinarily fresh and healthy. We use only the finest quality ingredients, honoring the traditional recipes and exotic flavors from the cuisines of the Levant... and served in a warm and welcoming ambiance!

Our Mediterranean influenced kitchen gains inspiration from the best cuisine the Levant has to offer. Our fresh creative menu items are always made from scratch. My second time here. I particularly love this place because I can get foul here! I don’t live any where near the restaurant, but I have been waiting patiently to come here again. I enjoyed it even more the second time! I highly recommend this place. So good!

Absolutely amazing food. Pita is unbeatable. One of my favorite places in Long Beach. Only “issue” is price for quantity, but that’s okay! Good food isn’t cheap.

The food was excellent. We had the lamb chops dish and hummus beef shawarma and just wow!! It was so good. Our waiter Mason was very attentive and friendly. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

I recently went to Ammatoli with a friend to celebrate a belated birthday, and we had such a great time. Our waiter was super friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was amazing, and the whole atmosphere made for the perfect celebration.

We scheduled a reservation so didn’t get seated until 10 minutes later even though we checked in about 15 minutes earlier, the restaurant was busy, but I assumed with the reservation we would be seated and then an amount of time we take three babies with us five adults, but once we sat down, the service was great. The food was great. The ambience was great the environment. The decoration was great. Parking was easy. There’s a structure about a block down and a lot of street parking available.

First off, we love Ammatoli, the food is excellent, the atmosphere is beautiful and we have been many times. We checked the web site to choose a wine while waiting for our table and there was one we liked that had 2 prices, 20/69. Because we eat out often our assumption was that it was indicating the glass and bottle price since there was no explanation on the site as to what those prices referred to. Our surprise was that the bottle was actually $116. Second, our waiters attempt to be helpful came across as cheeky and a bit pushy in the sense that we knew the menu (we told her we ate there often) yet she attempted to steer us to more pricy options, for example we wanted the mezza for 3 but she insisted we get the one for 6 (almost double the price). we also wanted the spicy garlic chicken that we love and she again insisted we have the Palestinian Msakhan (again more expensive) which we know has had mention and is notable but that is not what we wanted and her insistence was a bit off putting. And finally when the bill came (there were 4 of us) she automatically had her hand held device at a 22% tip. The bottom line is that we will go back, but this particular server did not add to our enjoyment that evening.

We had a wonderful lunch and the server Emma, was fabulous. She was attentive and thoughtful about her recommendations for we asked. Everything was fresh and delicious. Lunch is a great time to visit - less crowded and quiet too.

Our server Mary was fantastic and we had a great laugh about the Teta Carrot Cake dessert. It was our first visit but we will definitely come back. Thank you!

This was my first time at Ammatoli. Had lunch with two friends. We all enjoyed the food. We ordered a sampling of foods, based on Wait Staff (Emma's) recommendations. Everything we tried was delicious. Food is a bit pricey but well worth it for a terrific meal.
