Lovely interior. Nice staff. Waited a long time for our 2 salads to arrive and neither were very good. We had to ask for dressing for both as they were very plain and mostly lettuce

Another great morning at the Amersham House. The staff are welcoming and friendly, attentive yet not intrusive. They pay close attention to requests made when booking. Croissants are second to none and served perfectly warmed with butter or jam on request.

The restaurant was fine. The parking in the Old Amersham Council carpark was so difficult. One can’t see the instructions and we were all late for the booking because of it. It’s a shame because the restaurant must be loosing customers as probably are other venues on the High Street.

The Caesar salad was 15 mins behind everyone else’s food. They omitted the advertised anchovies and croutons. Bizarre. Service was diffident but ok. All in all average - might have been slightly above average but for the salad but they weren’t busy and there were only three of us. But maybe I’m expecting too much at these prices.

Pleasant time had by all, young staff who were a little inexperienced. Food was good, would recommend.

Our waitress was not very friendly from the outset and then didn’t communicate very well that the main course would take an hour and a half to arrive. It was about a third full so no apparent reasons for the delays. The restaurant then ran out of chips

We went on a Monday night so it was quiet but the food and service were excellent.

Lovely servers and manager.Salmon fish cake was all potato no fish at all but tasty never the less. Chicken Caesar salad was not well presented with one huge escalope of chicken on top.. think this would be better cut up.

Very average menu options. Fish pie did have lots of fish in it. Nothing to bring me back.
