Amazing food and service. Great attentive staff. The lasagna is light and silky (reminiscent of being in Milan) - The steak was charred to perfection, juicy and absolutely delicious. The veal Marsala was really great as well. And don’t sleep on the cannoli ! I order cannoli everywhere I go and this was fresh and divine. Can’t wait to go back.

I was very disappointed with my meal and service. This is not the first time I’ve been there and I don’t think I will be going back. My shrimp asparagus risotto did not have any flavor at all, it was like cardboard and the risotto was not cooked through even one of my shrimps did not look cooked all the way through. Did has some gastrointestinal pain a few hours later after meal. It was not hot when it came out in fact part of the food was hot and other areas cold. This was not just my meal, two other individuals in my party also had the same experience with same meal. Another person said the lasagna was so so. For the price of these meals. The prices were way too high for the quality. I mentioned to the manager and he did deduct my meal from bill and gave us tiramisu on the house which I question that as well it was gloppy and not tiramisu I am used to eating. The service was so so he was a nice person but never came back to ask how everything was, I would’ve said something then and I had to ask for cheese grated and delivered a grated cheese in a bottle on the table. I found that odd usually restaurants grind fresh cheese for you. Did not seem fresh cheese. Just didn’t seem like a high end type of restaurant that they make it out to be. Sad to see this has gone down in my rating and I frequent many restaurants of all high and medium end pricing and there are more in the area I would prefer to go to. I hope they do something about their restaurant to make it better.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry your experience didn’t meet expectations. Our server asked if everything was to your liking and received positive responses, with many guests choosing to take meals home including one or two others who also had the risotto. That said, we take your concerns seriously and will review the risotto preparation to ensure quality. As an unpretentious, affordable restaurant, we strive to balance quality and value, and our prices are moderate compared to others in the area. Regarding cheese and seafood, while we offer our freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano and Pecorino upon request, pairing them with seafood is not traditionally recommended and may cause discomfort for some. We appreciate your input and hope for the chance to provide a better experience.

A good casual Italian eatery. I was expecting a more upscale experience similar to sister restaurant in Summit, but it sorely missed the mark on that expectation.

We’re sorry to hear it didn’t align with your expectations, especially when compared to our sister restaurant in Summit, which offers a more upscale, fine-dining ambiance with an extensive wine list and advanced bar program. We had a second delicious meal at Amerigo. Our wait person, Nicole, started us off on a delightful evening. We all enjoyed our entrees. I had the eggplant parmesan, my husband had the lasagna; our friends had the veal saltimbocca and a shrimp.scampi. All were hits! Even the bread and foccacia were fresh and very good. The only thing that was only okay was the Caesar salad. It was a bit heavy on the anchovies. We ended our meal with yummy cappuccino. We all agreed that we'd definitely return. And, we'd request Nicole she was terrific!

Very happy with food and service. Not happy about only 4 or more people table. Hate sitting on wall seating, much too close to others. Noise level was very bad. I think they had music but couldn’t hear it with everyone talking.

This is my favorite restaurant and I have only had good experiences there. When I have family and friends who come to visit Amerigo is my “go to “ place! They never disappoint me!

The food is always excellent. The oven fired ziti and spicy rigatoni are stand outs. Nicole, a server, is especially warm and helpful.
