Excellent service from our server Sarah. Patient and explain the dishes well. The presentation of the food was excellent and our fish was cooked perfectly. Always a great experience here especially acknowledging that these are students and making that part of the meal and visit.

Understanding that this restaurant is a teaching facility, i would have thought it to be a better experience. We found the the serve staff were very timid and did not engage with us. For example, when delivering the food, they made no effort to explain what was on the plate. I would have thought they would take more pride in what they do. The wait staff should be learning how to engage with their customers, not just drop the fun and run. The food was very good, but would not likely rush back.

We love dining at the CIA (and we have a 2 hour drive). My second time at American Bounty. The food is always delicious. It's always interesting to find out what our server is planning to do once they leave the CIA. Having all students wait on tables is such an important part of anyone's culinary education. Cudos! I would be so pleased if that level of service was the norm at every restaurant. All of the CIA's restaurants are great! Walk around and enjoy the experience. Visit the book store. It's a special treat that we enjoy.

Food was very good however it was over an hour before we received our entree and then we received our appetizer

We had four for lunch and every one thoroughly enjoyed their meal. we had two beef, one fish and one vegetarian plus desert and appetizers. we are planning our next visit.

My friends and I enjoyed a most delicious lunch today at American Bounty. We got there about 25 minutes early but were seated right away. Our waiter was attentive and made some menu suggestions when asked. He proved to be spot on. I had the duck which was moist and came with a delicious sauce. Other entrees included chicken piccata, local trout, sirloin strips cooked to perfection. Save room for dessert!

Unfortunately it was not a good experience from the beginning. The bar service was so slow that it took 30 minutes to get drinks to the table. The wait staff was unorganized, appetizers were small portions as was the main course. Mocktails were incorrect and the cappuccinos came out lukewarm. I understand that this is run by students but there was no oversight/ management and their engagement with the guests was lacking. Needless to say we will not be dining there again especially for the price.

I would have rated Overall to be OUTSTANDING as Food was excellent. Even the waiter service and everyone at the restaurant was very good. The unfortunate thing is the person I spoke with on the phone. Our reservation was at 1245pm on Saturday, 9/28. I called at 1153am to inform them that our original reservation of 4 will now be 2 as the couple who was to be with us called us to say they were not feeling well. The gentleman who took the call was very rude. I indicated to him that we will be there in 30 minutes. He then told me that they could only wait for 15 minutes and they would cancel. I then proceeded to tell him that I said I would be there in 30 minutes therefore on or around 1230pm, in advance of our reservation. I said that he may have misunderstood me. He then said to me that he did not want to argue but that he has a recording of what I said. And he said this quite rudely. He is a customer service representative of the CIA. He could have simply just said that he may have misunderstood but to tell me had a recording! That was terrible. He mishandled that call. I suggest that you better train the people who take calls and handle them better. It leaves a very negative experience for your customers. I was close to canceling my reservation. Glad I did not because our dining experience was GREAT!
