Our dining experience is inspired by the progressive thinker and pioneering scientist Lady Amber Fitzwilliam, who ran her famous Thursday Club from the hotel in the early 20th century.

At Amber’s we draw on the same meticulous attention to detail and free thinking that our namesake employed in her work to bring you contemporary Yorkshire dining with a difference in a superbly elegant setting.

In keeping with the spirit of Lady Amber Fitzwilliam, whose famous Thursday Club ran for many years at the hotel, we offer relaxed entertainment in the luxurious setting of Amber’s restaurant every Thursday night. Sample delicious food and an elegant drinks menu to a backdrop of live acoustic music from a handful of carefully chosen local artists. £30 per head for 2 courses or upgrade to 3 course for an additional £7.50 per head. A wonderful, clean space for dining and relaxing. Sunday choices were excellent, covering all the bases. Wine was excellent, Sancerre. The staff were polite and very friendly. The service was excellent, no long waits, no rush to eat. Recommended. Will return

Fantastic Sunday lunch, think we came in mid shift as service was slow to start with but then very good. Hardly anyone else in there so atmosphere could have been better but will definitely return
