Amarone Restaurant is a modern Italian family run restaurant, serving traditional and authentic Italian flavours in Towcester.

Our goal is to offer you a warm welcoming experience, of exceptional quality, traditional snd authentic Italian dishes.

In our restaurant, in a friendly and family atmosphere we are looking forward to share with you all your upcoming memories. Whether you are visiting us for a romantic night out, large party or corporate event we guarantee that you will be looked after by our friendly and attentive staff.

Using only the finest ingredients the menu is inspired by dishes from every region of Italy whilst remaining harmoniously in tune with the seasons.

It was very busy but understandably it was new years eve, food was excellent and will definitely be going back again

I recently visited Amarone Italian restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The ambiance was lacking— bright lighting created an atmosphere that didn’t evoke the warm, inviting feel of Italian dining. There was also a missed opportunity to enhance the experience with typical Italian touches, like serving bread, olives, olive oil, etc while you browse the menu. The starters were particularly disappointing. They looked like something straight out of the supermarket— expect just a few slices of cured meat and some cheese cubes on a plate with a drizzle of balsamic. For an Italian restaurant, I expected a little more effort and care in the presentation. The main courses didn’t fare much better. The pizza, in particular, was undercooked and we had to ask for Parmesan cheese and olive oil to be brought to the table. Overall, the food felt bland and nothing stood out as particularly memorable. The prices felt steep for the quality of food and experience offered. The restaurant’s presentation also left something to be desired. The tables lacked the elegance of white tablecloths, and the staff weren’t particularly welcoming, which made the experience feel impersonal. While it’s always nice to see a new independent restaurant on the high street, I’m afraid I wouldn’t return or recommend Amarone. With a bit more attention to detail in both food quality and customer experience, it could be a lot more appealing.

Nice ambience, exceptional staff, good service. Menu good. Food and wine slightly dissapointkng. But would go back and support local independent business

We had a lovely meal at Amarone today. A lovely varied menu. The staff were very polite and service was good. The food came out and was fresh and hot. Will definitely be returning.

Food expensive, service average and restaurant ambience dreadful. Will not be retuning, food obviously prepared. My wife ordered a risotto which arrived at the table within a couple of minutes, truly awful, no flavour with chucks of raw pear in and no blue cheese. The whole dining experience was awful.

We went for lunch, busy but not packed so was great ambiance. Food was quick and very tasty. Wine was nice and all reasonably priced. Service from the two waiters was attentive but not overbearing. We will certainly be going back again.

An excellent addition to Towcester dining. Best meal we have had in ages. Service was good and not overly attentive.

Seat by the door is not good. People waiting to be seated , staff going to the bar, door opening constantly. Food was ok, not brilliant and hastily presented. Staff were very good.

This was an amazing night out! Food was brilliant with perfect portion sizes! The mix of desserts for up to 2 was huge! And could have easily fed all 4 of us. Service was quick and the waiters were polite and friendly. It was really busy so there was quite a buzz but not so loud you couldn’t have a chat. Would have been nice for there to be some background music as it was quiet when we turned up. Overall it was brilliant and exactly what we were looking for.
