Where Do I Park in Downtown? Now that our winter season is in FULL SWING in Delray Beach, you may find parking to be a challenge in Downtown, but there are plenty of lots and garages in Downtown Delray that are being underutilized during peak times. Even though the Delray Beach Market is closed for renovations - the private parking garage is still open. Enter on SE 1st Street. Other underutilized garages include Robert Federspiel Garage on SE 1st Avenue and 4th & 5th Delray (IPIC) Garage on SE 4th Avenue. Those public garages are free before 4pm and on Sundays.

We liked everything about the little Amar on Atlantic Ave. We were really excited that it moved in a bigger, nicer space. So we chose it to celebrate my husband’s birthday together with a couple of friends. The new Amar is indeed a beautiful restaurant, with nice vibe and decor. While waiting for our friends, the server tried repeatedly to make us order drinks, even if we told her we were not ready, since we were curious to check the new additions to the food menu. This insistence and intrusive service went on after our friends arrived, we felt that we did not have any privacy. The server asked us to place the whole order (appetizers and entrees) at once, which is something that most restaurants do. But the result was that we got the entrees just five minutes after our appetizers. Besides bad service, that also proved that the food was precooked and warmed up. It came out too fast to be cooked to order. Everything was dry and luke warm . To top it all, although my friend mentioned it, and I specified in the Open Table reservation that it was a birthday celebration, the server did not offer dessert menus before giving us the check. What can I say ? We were embarrassed to have invited our friends to this particular restaurant, and we all concluded that we would not return, even though it is in a very convenient location for us.

It’s often a risk when a popular restaurant changes location. Amar proves it can be done, and done with seamless panache. The food is a great as ever, the new space is beautifully done and the service is terrific! Congratulations!

Hi. when you take a restaurant , move it and at least triple the size , you need to be able to get your ducks in line. Not quite there yet. specialty cocktails a bit off, service a bit off . Food good, some items were very light in portions and should not be advertised as healthy portions . We will try again , but will wait and hopefully Kinks will be gone. We loved it in former location .

We arrived approximately 515 on a Friday early evening seem to be a lot of confusion at the hostess stand We were then seated for our 530 reservation on the outside patio I read several reviews, whereas everyone had given them four stars for the most part. Although we have never been, we thought it would probably be a good choice. Our server greeted us promptly and was excellent in every way, he suggested the red bell pepper hummus, which we decided to try. We did not care for it. It was extremely sweet and not what we expected at all for hummus. We ordered the steak kebabs and the chicken kebabs. They did not come out on the skewers. They came out immediately, as if they had been pro cooked and sitting on a plate for quite some time. The meat was served cold. It had no flavor and very dry. The vegetables that were on the plate look like they had been pre-pleaded sometime in advance. The rice that we ordered as a side dish had no flavor and was also served cold the roasted vegetables that came as a side dish were fairly decent. I would not recommend this restaurant sadly. could not have been more disappointed.
