Amalia Fumelli is the inspiration behind Amalia’s Authentic Italian Restaurant. She was born in Italy in 1932, and grew up on a farm. As she grew up, she took an interest in cooking and learned everything about the Italian kitchen from her mother and grandmother. For countless hours each day, Amalia began making hand-made pasta with her rolling pin on an old, wooden table. After many years, she had mastered her pasta creations through her skilled handiwork, precise cutting skills, and the amount of love she put into her work.

Over time, Amalia has passed all of her secrets and knowledge about food along to her children and grandchildren. One grandchild in particular, Filippo Fanfani, gained a passion for the art of cooking through her guidance. As a child, he spent all his days at his grandmother’s house preparing meals for his family. The two have a strong bond, that began with their conjoining love of creating meals that are enjoyable for everyone.

The Boar Ragu was fantastic. I didn’t care for the gnocchi, but that could have been me. The tiramisu was delicious. Our waiter, Gaetano (sp?), was perfect. Explained the offerings in detail and made good specific recommendations. I’ll be taking guests back there again. The portions were, however, too large. In some cases significantly. In the case of the gnocchi appetizer it could have comfortably fed six people.

One of the best experiences. Since I’m Italian and cook a lot of Italian food at home I never really venture into an Italian restaurant. However, Amalias was everything I expected. It was authentic, delicious, and the service was impeccable. I think I found my new favorite spot.

Our overall experience was amazing. The food, the ambiance, the service, attention to detail was excellent. The only concern I have is getting seated by a table with kids. Did not like the baby crying and kids going back and forth. Otherwise, everything else was amazing. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and there was a table with two kids and a baby. Not quite or romantic at all. We spent a lot of money.

Absolutely wonderful experience. I mentioned when making the reservation that I wanted their most romantic table for 2 as I may be proposing that night. The staff was wonderful, never letting on that it was happening,and then bringing us champagne and announcing to the diners to help us celebrate it when she said “Yes”. Thank you for making a memorable evening all the more so.

A terrific restaurant when you want to skip all the nearby franchises and have delicious Italian meal in a lovely setting with fine service (all the female employees are especially top notch). The only negative was the branzino, which had bones (and are embarrassing to remove from your mouth in public) and is not a substantial protein entree if that's your preference.

This was our first visit and every touch and taste was beautiful from the moment we walked in until we said goodbye. Cozy atmosphere, superb meals, great wine, helpful and friendly staff. We WILL be back. Thank you Amalia’s for a delicious and memorable evening!

Had the special shrimp scampi and it was awesome! GREAT Waiter. Another fantastic Amalia's dinner!

Amalia's is always a special experience and this visit did not disappoint once again. The atmosphere, ambiance, service, and food were are superb, impecable. Shannon was our server as was absolutely excellent. We will definitely head back here during the Fall and Winter months and will explicitly ask for Shannon to be our server. Bravo!

Excellent food and service! Ambiance depends on the night and section you’re in, some are more quiet while others are more loud / talkative with other tables. Definitely recommend for a special occasion! They’re able to accommodate gluten and dairy free as well
