Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Amalfi Cucina & Mercato - Downtown Atlanta is a traditional Neapolitan trattoria centered around an open kitchen featuring a 6,000 pound wood-burning brick oven imported from Italy. The 170 seat dining room also has large semicircular booths, custom wrought iron chandeliers along with Juliet balconies overlooking an Italian-inspired entryway. Originating in and the true pizza of Naples in the 1600s, Vera Pizza Napoletana is 12 inches or less in size, made from simple fresh quality ingredients from the Campania region of Italy and cooked at temperatures in excess of 900 degrees in approximately 60 seconds. Just launched, a new menu which includes many fresh pastas, salads, appetizers and desserts, including beautiful imported gelato. Enjoy a full bar with local beer on tap, exclusive wine list and specialty cocktails in beautiful Downtown Atlanta.

We eat here twice a year during our annual trip to Atlanta. During this trip the food was ample. The biggest turn off was the service. The server did the bare minimum and we felt rushed. The body language and lack of being pleasant was very noticeable as soon as we sat at the table. This is unacceptable for a 5 pm reservation for a party of two. We will return but will request a different server. We’ve had good experiences in the past.

Veal bolognese is the best thing I have ever eaten. I would recommend going to the Red Phone Booth to enjoy dinner! Love them both!

Everyone was amazingly accommodating. The game ran late and we had to move our reservation and they were great about helping us to get a table for our whole family. The food was out of this world. The building itself is beautiful. Thank you for a great experience.

Food was excellent. Don’t let the rustic and somewhat smelly entrance from the street scare you off. The food was superb.

When we arrived for our reservation, it was only a few tables with people. The staff were all just standing around. Seemed odd for the atmosphere. Eventually things picked up. The staff was only semi attentive after that. No water or drink refills. Just subpar service

The hostess wasn’t very attentive and she was more like a waitress than hostess. Even though I had a reservation I still needed to wait more than 20 minutes to get a table and I needed to ask the waitress many times to order something, to pay and everything else that I needed because she was talking to her coworkers instead of pay attention in the clients. The food was good but we spend around 45 minutes or more to eat a pizza. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We had reservations for 8:00 and were seated at 9:00. We order all food and drinks at 9:15. At 9:45 they said food would be ready shortly. At 10:00 2 people from our party left. At 10:20 they brought food for 1 of the people that left, I told our waiter to package her food since they at a NYE party. At 10:35 they brought us all the food to go and the bill. Complete failure.

We waited over an hour for food with four people. One persons food simply never came the table, and another’s was ice cold. Not worth the wait or the money. I’ve had better at Olive Garden.

We went on nye. Had a reservation for 6pm, and we were seated quickly in the backroom which turned out to be preferable. We finally got our food at 7:45 and my plate was warm at best. People seated after us ate and left before us. The server knew something had gone wrong with our order, but all we got was multiple 'coming soon' notifications. The other two diners in our party did like their meal.

Our waiter was good, the restaurant was attractive, and the ambiance was nice. We really enjoyed the meatballs and Caprese Salad but the Veal Marsala and the Calzone were ok, but not as good as the apps. We would go back to try different dishes.
