   Food was delicious I come all the time but I didn’t get offered my receipt which is annoying as I took clients out. I’ve asked for a copy and am waiting for a reply

   We came here for my daughter’s 24th birthday. A party of 4 of 3 generations of women. We enjoyed the food. As usual, everything was yummy and delicious. The service was impeccable! Everyone is so welcoming, accommodating and attentive. The food and drinks always makes you go “mmmm” with every bite and sip. They made my daughter feel special for her bday. I love coming here. Amal is definitely one of my favourite restaurants. One of TO’s best! Highly recommend!

   Andre was an amazing waiter, the food was outstanding. Value for money was even better. Definitely brought me back to my Arabic roots. Food tasted like home!!

   The entire experience and the level of attention and service from everyone on the floor was top tier from the moment we walked in. Our server, Nabil was amazing. We had at least 6 other members of the team interact with us during dinner. Every single one of them was lovely and attentive. The atmosphere is great and decor is stunning. We had an early reservation at 5pm on a Friday so was fairly quiet when we arrived and then by the time we were leaving the restaurant was full and music was playing. It was a great vibe - lively but not excessively noisy. I’m going to book a later seating next time. This was my first visit and I wanted to try the whole menu but had to choose so we had the dip trio (baba ghanoush, hummus basil and muhammara), truffle rakakat (recommended by Nabil and happy we took his advice), fattoush salad, kibbeh, Amal kabab and sticky date cake. Honestly one of my favourite meals ever and I don’t think it will be long before I’m back again.

   Really wanted to give this a higher rating. But….for a Michelin star restaurant service and details were lacking. Food good. We were a group of 7 to celebrate my brother in laws birthday. Ordered apps but one was forgotten so had to wait. My mother in law accidentally spilled wine on herself and plate and asked for a new setting but was forgotten even our server kept noticing but removing her dirty ones. Dirty dishes left on the table for a very long time between apps and dinner. We had to pour wine ourselves and kept asking for more water instead of an automatic pour. We didn’t even wait for dessert we just wanted the bill to leave from this frustrating experience. They are not able to handle bigger groups. An automatic 20% tip added on but didn’t feel it was justified. Even our oblivious 16 year old son noticed the lack of detailed service. Trying to be high end - nice ambiance, Molton Brown soap in washroom, etc but service lacking. Perhaps need more staff needed during dinner service. This was a Sunday.

   I took my mom out for a belated birthday dinner this evening. It was her first time at Amal and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. The server went above and beyond to make sure our experience was special. The food was absolutely delicious! We can’t wait to come back!

   It's always a pleasant experience here. Their hummus is outstanding, as is the beef bacon

   Everything was great but service was slow. We waited a long time for our drinks. We never got the coffee we ordered but tried to charge us. We had asked for condiments when dinner came but our server never brought them. Despite that, we loved the restaurant. The food was excellent and a it was a lively enjoyable atmosphere. We will come back.
