Appetizers were delicious as usual. Paella was burnt and black on bottom of pan. And food server kept clearing things we wanted to keep and delivering food without clean plates and silverware available. Seems to have gone downhill since we last ate there. Much less excited to go back.

The atmosphere was cozy and romantic in a bustling kind of way. Brian, our server, was attentive and helpful from the minute we sat down. the food was delicious. Lots of good flavor pairings in the various tapas. The spinach salad wrapped in Serrano ham was over dressed, but that was a minor flaw. Cherry and fig jam that came with goat cheese was an unexpected high light.

We had a fabulous night celebrating my daughter’s birthday. The service was impeccable and the food absolutely delicious. We could not have had a a better night.

The appetizers were good, the paella valenciana was awful, the worst in my life and the service poor. At the end of the dinner the table was dirt and the waiter didn’t clean it before placing the bill on it, it was disgusting!

Food was great, as usual. It is why I am a regular customer. And I decided to have a business dinner with a large group at one of my favorite restaurants in Philly. However, we had the misfortune of bothering our server, Joshua, with a minor joke (sales pitch). He turned hostile very fast, for example mocking our lack of knowledge of oysters and other similar behaviors. The whole evening his attitude was awful, part of our order got forgotten and the whole group felt uncomfortable. It was a horrible experience, we will not be coming back! Nobody needs to be scolded by their server - terrible!

Overall it was a nice evening. The tasting menu was far more filling than I had remembered, so keep that in mind if you plan on ordering it. The servers did a good job of explaining the plates, and most of the items came out quickly ( it was not crowded at the time we were there) I did have a few service “anomalies” through the evening which I will share with the restaurant privately.

The cuisine is delightful. All menu items were served hot and fresh. Especially like the squid, lamb chops, calamari, salad, crab stuffed peppers, The vegetable offering with Brussels sprouts and broccoli was delicious. We didn’t get the skirt steak we ordered, but the other dishes were very good. Can’t wait to return.
