Altland House in Abbottstown is a classic inn and eatery that is housed within an expansive structure that dates back to 1790. Vintage themed décor and hints of modernism blend together to create a unique dining experience within a setting that is warm, inviting and casually comfortable. Went here for our anniversary dinner. Food was absolutely 5 star level. Wait staff was great. Will return and send friends!

We love the Altland House when we are in the mood for something a bit nicer than the standard chain restaurants. The menu is very interesting, the food is delicious, and the price is reasonable.

Enjoyed our meals. We took friends to dine with us. This was their first time at Altland. I was disappointed to see a stack of chairs in the main dining area where we were seated. Food was wonderful. Would definitely go back.

The Altland House is close to where I live, so I have eaten there many times. Over the years they have changed their menu. This time I ordered a salad that was on the specials menu and it was delicious. I'm hoping it is added to their menu.

Always liked the Altland House. This time portions seemed smaller and the staff seemed a little overwhelmed. Waited at least 10 minutes before we found the person to seat us. Will try again though . Maybe an off day?

Disappointed in food that was overpriced for what you got. Seemed like great gourmet’ish ideas, but the flavors didn’t meld well at all and all dishes just seemed to be missing something. Felt more like it was thrown together but with fine cuisine prices. Won’t return. Ambiance is nice. Service not bad.
