Alter House Restaurant and Bar is a family owned Farm-to-Table Restaurant and Event Venue dedicated to seasonal, sustainable cuisine. It is our culinary mission to source the finest ingredients from regional farmers, artisan purveyors and local farms whenever possible. Here at Alter House Restaurant and Bar, sustainability is the forefront of our identity. The seasons will define our menu. Our goal at Alter House is to be the restaurant of choice in Northeast Pennsylvania. Our aim is to provide our guests with unique culinary offerings paired with incredible service, in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Whether it’s catering out a private event, a special dinner for two or a small gala, our team will make sure it’s memorable. Our main space is a perfect setting for private dining events that range from 12 to 70 people. Depending on the size of the event, the restaurant space can be divided to accommodate large party dinners. Private dining menus are customized by our talented Culinary Team from seasonally-inspired offerings. Our Outdoor Tented Patio and the Private Dining Room located adjacent to the Alter House Restaurant is ideal for daytime business meetings, bereavements, corporate dinners, social celebrations and cocktail receptions. Perfect evening, sat at a high top in the bar area, live entertainment,so enjoyable. Did have to lean in when talking but didn’t mind it. Had a flight of reds, hubby had beer, shared a flatbread and both had filet mignon- perfect! Thanks for a great dining experience, all the staff we encountered were very welcoming.

Everything was amazing. Our server, Shauna, did an exceptional job. We had a Bianco flatbread as an appetizer, a house and Caesar salad, and I had thefilet mignon and my wife had the halibut. Everything was top notch

Service was excellent. Food was tasty.. Our server Hayden was very accommodating and professional. We were able to make substitutions without a hassle. I really like the clean options. . Hayden is very well versed on wines and how to pair them, plus very nice. We will return.

We had an amazing dining experience at Alter House. Our server (Morgan) was top notch! The drinks were inventive and well balanced. Hayden guided us right with his wine pairings. The Pork Belly, Branzino salad and tomato soup starters were all delicious. The clams, Chicken Fricasse, Lamb Chops, Lobster Fettuccini, and Salmon salad were all amazing. For dessert we shared a cheesecake and also had an espresso martini and a pistachio martini, both out of this world.
