We were just there for a birthday, and they put us in a private little room near the bar, which was awesome. The food was also very good. However, the service was not very professional and did not match the quality of the food. We ordered a bunch of different plates, and they all came out at once. Typically, at a restaurant like that, I’d expect them to be a little more spaced out. Once we finished a dish, the server/bus boys left empty/dirty plates on the table for most of the dinner. Finally, they have tequeños on the menu. My wife is South American, and those are not tequeños…those are taquitos. Overall, a nice night out, but their service could be much better.

The food was very good but I wish they had more gluten free options to choose from. I ended up with the chicken mole which I highly recommend!

This is my 1st brunch experience at AltaVida! on the 1st floor PUBLICO. I had a wonderful attentive service with Richard. Their Latin take on the Croque Madam had ham and pork belly that was carmelized with light Latin spices topped with a perfect egg over easy! Great hot crispy hand cut potatoes was the nice complement to the brunch dish. I will be back to try this interesting new Sunday Brunch menu for their launch on September 15 that will be instead on the 2nd floor Rumba with live music and a 5 course more inclusive menu! The ambiance was beautiful & unique on each floor which is suppose to represent different Latin countries. PUBLICO is modern day Mexico City & 2nd floor Rumba is Latin contemporary Caribbean countries like Puerto Rico.

Food was delicious, however, the tapas portion sizes are a little ridiculous. I get that it’s a “small plate” but putting 3 small pieces on a plate and charging $24? Seems a bit over priced. Our waiter was amazing!! Thank you Richard for being probably one of the best servers we’ve ever had!

We thought we’d try the new restaurant in Naperville. Very happy that we checked it out. The service was wonderful from Yvonne and Ronie at the bar to Matthew at the table. Food was delicious. Loved it !

Excellent food and Richard gave us some great suggestions. We started with Tapas and never made it to the entrees We'll definitely be back.

The restaurant was 2 month new and some operational hiccups are expected. But there were dirty dishes piled on top of the drinks area at the bar. There are only 2 unisex bathroom for a large restaurant and they were not clean at 6pm. We expected the price to be higher but it's still probably poor for value if this was in downtown Chicago. The food was okay and nothing extraordinary.

Everything and everyone were great last night. Have been there several times and each time they were phenomenal. I love going on Saturday nights for the live music.

I didn’t realize AltaVida opened very recently. It did not disappoint. If you’re a fan of Latin American fare with a touch of Spanish influence, you’re covered. The service wow received from Jack, Jose, and especially Libby was superb. I highly recommend it for any occasion. Enjoy!
