    I went here with a small group following a musical at the Benedum on a Sunday afternoon. We did have reservations and although we were about 30 minutes early we were seated immediately. We did not order an appetizer but we were given a basket of bread with a salted butter and dipping oil that held us over until our meals arrived. And, the meals arrived very quickly. I had the gemelli with the scallops and it was delicious - the scallops were cooked perfectly and the creamy pasta sauce was the perfect amount. My mom had the spaghetti with the crab meat and really enjoyed it - and you could see that they were generous with the portion of crab. Our server, Maddison, was extremely helpful and friendly.

    We did Sunday brunch outside. Beautiful day and we enjoyed the food. We thought the price fixe brunch was a strong value and there were plenty of things to choose from. The problem was the service. It was terribly slow. Example - 20 minutes for our first beverages. We were there when they opened and there only a couple takes sat. Not that we were looking to be rushed, but the food and the drinks took such a long time. The plates and empty glasses wouldn’t get picked up most of the time. It was strange. When we were finished, we asked for the check amd it was presented in a timely manner. We had a card sitting on the table with the check for at least 15 minutes before I took it up and found the server and gave it to them to run. Everyone was friendly, but it was just slow. And service was just a little off. Good food though, and it is a beautiful restaurant. I hope it was just an off day for service.

    Our first time here, and it was very good. The drinks, appetizer, and entree were all excellent. Looking forward to dining here again.

    This was my second time, they were having issues with the kitchen, the service was slow, and they brought me the wrong order. The server was very apologetic but you could get the impression this is a pretty regular occurrence there. It’s a shame the restaurant is really cute.

    Our waiter was a mess. He got every request WRONG! We ordered seltzer, got still. Ordered 2 appetizers, only got one. Ordered a side dish, didn’t arrive. Had to request it a second time. I don’t think our waiter is made for the job.

    Great food and atmosphere. Nice people. Slow bar service. Not enough bar tenders. Food took a little long. Overall I will go again

    As always, a great experience and delicious meal at Alta Via. Sat on the patio and it was lovely. Sweet corn risotto was outstanding.

    Always amazing food! Pasta is incredible! Great service and environment, pricing is very reasonable, this has been a favorite of ours recently!
