    It was open air which we loved! You can’t help the fact that people were smoking pot outside. The food was great. In fact, it was very good and interesting. However, I hold off on giving fives unless I really think something is extra extra. I loved the drink it was seasonal excellent and our server was absolutely perfect.

    Great experience sitting outdoors for lunch. Food is always great ay Alta Via. The need to guaranty my lunch reservations with a credit card though causes me to pause and consider Capital Grill or Del Frisco’s as I sometimes have clients that cancel at the last minute due to work commitments.

    The first hostess we encountered looked pretty uninterested to be there, but the one who ultimately sat us was very kind and engaging. Food was delicious as always. The service could have been more attentive, usually the service at the Fox Chapel location is excellent. They forgot one of our small plates which was fine. Will be back because of the high quality food and great wine selection.

    It’s a very pleasant place to spend a Friday evening…our food was good, especially my caprese salad…the mushroom bolognese was delicious…my only critique was there was too much salt in most dishes…the bread was too salty, my husband’s scallop pasta and his beet salad were too salty…and we like salt and often add it after tasting…we will go again and enjoy it but lay off the salt, please! Our waiter was delightful!

    Very disappointing. Dined Friday 8/16/2024 for second time . First visit, the tagliatelle was way overcooked and not al dente. Do not expect Casbah level of food. Avoid the duck- it is nothing close to the Casbah version. Leg lacked succulentness that Casbah duck chef Serves. Artichokes and Brussels sprouts were delicious. Service sub-par.

    My friend and I had a great dinner at Alta Via!!! I love the ambience of the Dining room and the food and service were both excellent!!! The Gemelli pasta with seared scallops was delicious!!
