First time visiting Alta Via-Fox Chapel. Went on a recommendation from a friend for a special birthday dinner. Very nice food & presentation. Fillet steak was not cooked to our order but was still really good. My rigatoni was awesome! Dustin, our waiter, provided top notch service! Would definitely recommend him as your server! Overall it was a wonderful first visit. I will be coming back.

Mary was an excellent server as she knew the menu quite well and answered all of our questions. Food was excellent also.

An outstanding experience thanks to Edward our waiter. The risotto listed under small plates is fabulous. So is the Little Gem Romaine salad. I had it with a crab cake. Perfect. We celebrated a birthday and the entire experience was perfect.

We visited once before, and were enamored., We were excited to have an outstanding dinner again as a going away meal for our daughter as she heads back to college. Service was pleasant, the atmosphere was great. The food however, was just okay, which I don’t consider to be a compliment with pricing as it is. We had the meatball appetizer, two different kinds of salads, brussels sprouts, and three dishes of pasta, but we enjoyed the focaccia bread and the candies that came with the bill the most. We left pasta on all of our plates at the end of the meal (even tho we ordered the half serving, which we typically would have devoured), and even our college kid declined to take the leftovers.

It was our first time eating at Alta Via, and we were celebrating our son's birthday. All of us highly enjoyed our appetizer, meal, and dessert. We would enthusiastically recommend this restaurant to others who are looking for a new dining experience.

Always wonderful. I go to lunch their about once a month. Service is always great and so is the food.

Mary, our server was excellent. Had patience (we had a 95 year old with us) and made adjustments so that everyone was happy.
