This was my 3rd time dining at Alta Via and each time has been a pleasant experience. Food is delicious and service is always on point.

Our food was cold and when we told the waiter he had no response. We ordered 2 vanilla and 2 chocolate gelatos however the machine broke ! We will not be back anytime soon.

Had a wonderful birthday celebration at Alta Via. Service (our server was Mary, and she was a delight!) was attentive and responsive and allowed our meal to unfold at a calming pace. Opening espresso martini was well balanced, starter (beet salad) was fresh and perfectly dressed, focaccia was delicious, mains (pappardelle with braised short ribs and pasta alla vodka was nicely sauced and generously portioned. Glass of pinot was jammy and paired well with the pasta, but overpriced at 16/glass. Our dessert was a bit disappointing -- olive oil cake was too dry, and house limoncello was too harsh. The music was energetic but still too loud for conversation.

Servers were polite and friendly; they explained menu items when asked. I had a great old fashioned and a delicious fresh appetizer of buratta with sautéed sweet peppers, grapes and grilled focaccia. My husband had a delicious beet salad with an orange vinaigrette and dry ricotta, wonderful. Our disappointing food items were our entrees. I had pappardelle pasta with a beef ragu and stracciatella; pasta cooked good but not much flavor. Husband had fusilli pasta with calabria chili sauce and mascarpone, he felt it was a bit spicy for him and the flavor was so, so. I had coffee and gelato for dessert and it was good. Husband had a flourless chocolate cake and it was dry. We were somewhat disappointed and not sure we will be back.

Waited over an hour for food that was cold. Fusilli pasta was cold and extremely salty. Not impressed.

What a fabulous evening. This is a 10/10 restaurant and we are only sad that we didn’t discover it sooner. The entire menu looked amazing. We had the artichokes and broccolini as starters which were both delicious. We did the branzino and ciopatta which were also both fabulous. Seafood was perfectly cooked. Cocktails were well made and had a balance of being classic and modern. Service was warm and welcoming and made us feel that they were happy to have us with them. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to explore more of the menu! Worth every dollar.

Server was not familiar with the menu. He did not get the order right. So dinner was very staggered i.e. some people had entrées some people at salads. We don’t have many choices in this area I will return, but with my eyes wide-open This purports to be an elegant dining experience, but the reality is it’s an average neighborhood place at a high price
