Alta Calidad is located in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn where Chef Akhtar Nawab is cooking innovative Mexican cuisine. The Spanish translation of "Alta Calidad" means "high quality" and it's our goal to provide that with every dish that we serve. Our goal is to cook with pride and integrity and have a lot of fun doing it!! We're thrilled to be part of this amazing Brooklyn community and we want each of you to join us and participate in this exciting adventure! Alta Calidad is a Michelin Bib Gourmand award winning restaurant and Certified Minority Owned Business.

                                          Great food, great service and their spicy pineapple margaritas were great and part of happy hour. We shared about six different items and everything was delicious.

                                          The food was excellent. Service was fine, pleasant, timely, unobtrusive. The single problem--and the only reason I'd think twice about going back--was the noise. Absolutely deafening--and not from loud music--the acoustics in the place, high ceiling, hard surfaces. We ate early--615 and by midmeal, we, the waiters, and everyone in the restaurant, were shouting to be heard (4 people).

                                          Cocktails were good. The place smelled terrific, but the food was underwhelming. Especially for the price.

                                          Amazing food, super friendly service and GREAT margs!! Everything we had was incredibly good and the place overall has a super hip vibe. Highly recommend!!

                                          The variety of the menu, mixing different Mexican-inspired flavors wonderfully, plus great service and a chill atmosphere made our evening an exceptional one! Will certainly come back to try all the items in the menu!

                                          Amazing food for great value, but absolutely horrible service. Had to go inside to ask for the check after waitress did not come over for 30 minutes. Then had to go in to pay the check because no one came to collect it. No water refills for the last hour

                                          I've been to Alta Calidad several times and the food is always fantastic. For some reason my breakfast burrito - my go-to usual- was a bit too spicy today. Still fantastic, but a little spicier than my preference. My daughter had the steak tacos, which is her favorite. She said they were really delicious. But, I must say that anyone I bring there for brunch has been wowed by the quality and flavor of the food. My favorites are the pancakes, the breakfast burrito, and the chips, guacamole and salsa. My Drinks are tasty, and even the coffee is fantastic. I've never been there for dinner so I can only vouch for the brunch and lunch, which never disappoints!
