We are open for dining inside and on our covered patio (heaters for cool days and misters for warm). Takeout & Delivery Available!
Alps Village is a family owned and run restaurant nestled in the heart of Palm Desert. As a family we love entertaining and cooking for our friends and this is what prompted us to open a restaurant. We have created a warm atmosphere where our guests can indulge in delicious homemade food and signature cocktails.
Our menu offers a variety of specialties from Germany and Ex Yugoslavia to include dishes from Serbia,Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Some of our authentic foods are Schnitzels, Cevapcici, homemade sauerkraut, Cabbage Rolls, Goulash, salads, desserts and many more wonderful flavors.
Inspired by travel and a passion for different cultures, ALPS VILLAGE has a vast menu of culinary delights, utilizing the freshest and real ingredients to bring homemade dishes straight to your table. We offer full bar.

If you like German food, this is the place. The stuffed cabbage and schnitzel is excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and the service exceptional. Be prepared for a crowd - when it is busy, it can be a bit noisy. But the food and overall experience is top notch.

The food here is just so good. The only problem is deciding which of the gems on the menu to enjoy. Typically we have the stuffed cabbage rolls or the chicken paprikash or the goulash. This time we tried the pork chop and it was just so very good. Also, the sourdough Bavarian pretzel is also a must have. Service is always flawless as well.

The Alps Village is a ‘must go to’ dinner spot in the Coachella Valley. The food is beyond amazing, and the service and hospitality are beyond reproach. We have literally ordered something different every time we go, and have yet to be even slightly disappointed. Guests that we take can’t wait to go back either! It is a family run business, which is evident in how hard they work to maintain the high standards they have! I’m getting hungry again just writing the review and thinking about the food there! 😊

You can’t ever go wrong eating at Alps. Their food is made with love, they have the friendliest service and it’s just an enjoyable experience all around. From their schnitzel to their goulash, the food is out of this world!

We have been wanting to go to Alps Village for some time and finally took my mom there for her birthday. When we walked into the restaurant it was not at all what we thought it might be. We were expecting a nicer restaurant from a ambience standpoint but it felt like a sports bar. The place was hopping and you could tell there were many regulars there. The noise level was off the charts to the point one couldn't hear our server well or we couldn't hear each other without yelling. We order our drinks and food which included 2 side Caesar salads and entrees. The salads are $9 each and considering my mom ordered the entree Caesar, the portion of the side salad was about 1/4 of the entree salad. There couldn't have been any more than 1 cup of lettuce. We had only begun eating our salads when our entrees arrived. Given that we were at a small table, there was barely enough room for all the dishes on the table. Two of us had Weinerschnitzle which we ordered with Spaetzle. The Spaetzle was so darn dry, it felt like I was eating dried noodles out of a package. For a German restaurant, there is NO excuse for the Spaetzle to have come out of the kitchen like that. Between the very rushed service, noise level and quality of the food with our bill totaling $190 including what tip we did leave, we can find a better place in the valley for German food. So while it took us some time to get to Alps Village, it will take us even longer to return.

Our waitress was amazingly wonderful and helpful. We all agreed we would return just to see her. Desserts were perfect. Unfortunately, we all agreed that the food was bland and serving sizes were small
