I’m glad we tried this place out. It gets high ratings and the ambiance was nice. We were seated in an area with a cold draft which didn’t enhance our experience. This place was fine but we enjoyed some of the other places better. Everything we tried was good (winter pasta, pretzel, sauerkraut, beef stew) just not remarkable. There are so many different cuisines to try so I always say it’s good to experience new places.

We loved our dinner! My boyfriend is from Germany and said it was the best German he’s had since he moved to the US last year. Thanks for making it such a special meal to celebrate his birthday!

Nice lunch 12:30 pm with great vegetable winter curry. Place filled up by 1:00 pm.

Food was disappointing no veal and no salmon as advertised on menu online . The only salmon they had was lox which I can get at Costco. Food was eh

The quality of the food wasn't as good as I remembered from our last visit. Shrimp in pasta seemed like the frozen kind you'd get at a grocery store. Salads were pretty basic other than the cool presentation in a wooden serving trowel. Our waitress was excellent, however. But over all, the kitchen seemed to be phoning it in.

A friend decided to join us 1/2 hour before our reservation time. I called the restaurant. They were full and couldn't give us a larger table but instead were willing to add a chair which worked out great. Both my wife and our friend chose the vegetarian curry over potato pancakes. It was delicious. I had the smoked salmon with potato pancakes and it was equally delicious. We had apple strudel with berry gelato. It had a great presentation and it was yummy. Overall, it was a very reasonably priced for Vail. We had a great time.

We had a wonderful dinner at Alpenrose. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. We had the gnocchi and the pork schnitzel. Both were delicious.
