In a distant European city, Fabian and Miriam vanished into the Alps, trading their city lives for mountain solitude. Once busy young professionals, their days were consumed by demanding careers, their rare weekends cherished for dining out and dancing, occasionally venturing into the mountains.

But destiny intervened when Miriam inherited her grandfather's Alpine hut, nestled amidst the rustic charms of the mountains. They cut ties with the city, forsaking it for good. Days were spent farming, foraging, crafting cheese, and making wine. Nights brought cooking, baking, wine-drinking, and stargazing.

Friends from the city visited, but Fabian and Miriam never looked back. They were drawn deeper into the mountains, caught in the Alpenrausch's dual meaning—the exhilaration of mountain air and the intoxication of good company, fine wine, and schnapps.

Alpenrausch was really a surprise for its innovative menu, fast and professional service and warm ambiance! We have traveled to Switzerland and Alpenrausch was. Every bit as good as any high end restaurant we ate in during our trip! I would highly recommend it!

First time here. Pretzel was absolute perfection. Glazed with butter, thick at the top end and tapering thinner as it got to the folded arms section. Quail was wonderful and the spaetzle were also perfect. Venison was very mild but good. I prefer a bit gamier taste from my venison. Budino was very good with whole hazelnuts and blueberries. Had the bar recommend wines by the glass to match our meals and they were also nice. Something different from the usual Pinots and such we normally get.

I wanted to love this place, but I didn’t. The mix green salad was good, the pretzel OK. But my pork schnitzel was covered with such a thick layer of cheese, I couldn’t taste the ham or the pork. It was incredibly heavy and greasy because of all the trees. The apple celery salad was tasty, but not acidic enough to offset the heavy main. The dessert selection was limited and heavy, so we declined. I don’t think I’ll go again.

Not many choices for people who don’t eat meat unfortunately. Wish the larger fondue had a veggie option.

We tried cocktails, spinach dumplings, fondue, glasses of wine chosen for us by our server, and dessert, and enjoyed every bit. Considering the excellence of all of it, the bill at the end seemed more than reasonable! Definitely returning!

Overpriced!! We had the fondue and it barely fed one, it said two or three. The food was ok. Too expensiv. We got 8 thin apple slices maybe 8 thinly sliced cured meat slices,1/2 of 2 different sausages. No bread. We won’t go back. Sorry.

Just delightful, we cannot WAIT to go back! Wine selection was phenomenal, can’t wait to try the cocktails next time and LOVED that they had a big Zero Proof section! Food was all fabulous and we honestly didn’t get a dud among all the things we tried. Our favorites: the 2 sausages and the ham included in the fondue plate were SO GOOD, the spinach dumpling were amazing (and so spinachy, which we loved because usually people put too much cheese in and dull the spinach taste) and the broth was delightful, and the panna cotta dessert was beyoooond. We have to go back and try more, because we could barely decide and didn’t order like 8 other things we wanted to try. Thank you, it was truly wonderful!! Also the ambiance is BEYOND AMAZING. Best sultry date night vibes, it felt like we were in a cabin in Switzerland!
