Led by Alpana Singh, the youngest woman and first South Asian to conquer the Master Sommelier exam, our menu blurs the lines between food and wine, ensuring each recipe is a symphony of balance, texture, and flavor. The overall food was good.appwtizers were very tasty. Unfortunately, the venison was cooked to perfection but had no flavor. Had some nice wine at good prices. Service was good and attentive.

We enjoyed everything about our dinner. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and responsive. We had the steak tartare, Caesar salad, and the roast chicken. Next time we will skip the Caesar salad, but the other dishes were excellent. We also had the basque cheesecake for dessert which was delicious. You can sit outside under a cover or inside where it’s air-conditioned. Both are inviting. We live nearby and we will be back.

Excellent dining experience! We introduced some friends to this restaurant and they plan to return soon. The new seasonal corn pasta dish is my new favorite. It is a great addition to the regular menu. Soft serve sundae is the perfect end to an amazing meal! Service is professional. Checks all of the boxes.

This was a wonderful dinner and experience! Food was delicious, the wine flight was lovely, and the service was great. I especially loved the ambiance -- such a pretty spot! But the highlight was by far the soft-serve ice cream. Sounds silly, I know, but I've never experienced anything like it. So creamy, not crazy sweet, and impossible to stop eating! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Chicago.

Such a stunning space! I have to say that's the best aspect of dining at Alpana. It's beautifully decorated, architecturally delicious, and whimsical. Now for the food and service! Nicole was our server and was such a darling. She had great energy and recommendations for wine, and y'all know I love my adult fruity beverage😄 The food was delectable, savory, tender, unique, and cooked to perfection. It was beautifully presented and filling, too. I had a fantastic time here, and I hope to be back soon. Thank you, Alpana, for setting the stage for a wondrous meal! 🤎

Absolutely loved Alpana! The food was incredible, the restaurant is beautiful and the vibe is great. Extensive wine list, as one would expect, and attentive service. We had the focaccia, whipped feta, Bibb salad, sea bass and the create di gallo Alla grappa pasta (basically a pasta with a slightly spicy tomato cream sauce). Can’t wait to visit again!

This is second time I have been here. Food was excellent as was the ambiance and we definitely will go back. Server was not great and, if we would have let it, could have ruined the entire experience. Usually upscale restaurants go above and beyond when allergies are in play, she seemed put out by it all. She was also very slow and missed items we ordered. Again, food was great, just hope to get a different server next time around.
