Alpana is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants in the City- the food is marvelous and service is excellent- it's got a really good vibe .. as a single woman I would definitely go there on my own

Always such an outstanding experience. This was our first time having brunch there and the food, drink, and service continue to make this one of our favorite places in a city with many incredible eating and drinking establishments.

We were excited to return to Alpana after our first visit. We hyped up the service, ambience and food to our friends. We ordered the mushroom polanta, focaccia and butter chicken meatball appetizers. All 3 were underwhelming...and especially disapponting were the meatballs. They were bland, completely flavorless and the sauce tasted like it came from a can. For the main course, we ordered the squid ink pasta, salmon and sea bass. All 3 entrees were good! For dessert, we ordered the strawberry shortcake sundae to share. It was basically a bowl of soft serve. There were a few sliced strawberries with a few white chocolate balls and NO shortbread. There were some crumbs of something, but nothing that resembled shortbread. Moving on to the ladies' restroom, it was pretty disgusting, the sewer water spewed out of the drain in the center of the bathroom with solid waste coming out... Our waitress was nice and service was good, but after we gave the feedback about the meatballs, there was no apology or attempt to make it right. I really hope this was a one off occurrence.

Our waiter was fantastic and knowledgeable, the outdoor area was stunning and the food was delicious. Will definitely be going back!

Another incredible meal. Took my best friend for her birthday, and we had the best time. The server who was tending the bar was a stand out. Extremely knowledgeable and paced out our meal well! He was extremely friendly and attentive plus he made some great drinks. Alpana continues to be one of my go-to spots for people coming to visit. It always delivers every time I go.

My besties and I in for a girls trip enjoyed the beautiful ambiance which immediately called our attention the second we walked in. Then we had an incredible culinary experience. We’ll be back!! We’re telling everyone we know it’s a must when in Chicago.

Great variety of food choices! Love the ambience and decor. Our server was great. Food came out fast. Arugula and strawberry salad is just OK-other salads are better. Polenta/mushroom appetizer is amazing! Great specialty cocktails !
