We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings.

Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees.

We hope you love our little diner as much as we and our team do.

Fantastic staff, very attentive, explained menu items. Food had amazing flavours and presentation. Throughly enjoyed dining here. Would definitely recommend!

Food was fantastic. The fried chicken and ice cream sundae were the highlights. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Interior looks like a fancy speakeasy.

The food was excellent. The possibility of ordering half-plate versions of some of the dishes is great as it allows you to sample more offerings. At was my first visit there, I will certainly (and happily) return again !

The food and atmosphere were fantastic. The least interesting food item I ordered were the fries everything was great. Definitely recommend the lemon meringue pie!

Not very impressed with the food, outdoor ambiance is basically next to the road/sidewalk. If you’re interested in being part of the city’s noise and foot traffic then you should be fine. I was expecting a more elevated food experience. Alouette cost more than George, which was definitely an elevated food experience.
