We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings.

Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees.

I ordered a glass of Rose (@CAD18) but only 5oz per serving! The service is rough as perhaps rushing for table turnover, the ambient is noisy. Can’t agree it’s a Michelin starred restaurant!

Had a delicious brunch on Canada Day. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Biscuits are a must and the coffee is very good.

There was a lot going on in the city during the the Canada Day weekend. I don’t follow everything that’s going in the city because I don’t have the luxury of doing that nor do I care that much. I was trying to get to the restaurant from Kleinburg and I decided to contact the restaurant and managed to get through after 3 tries. The person who answered was smug and not welcoming. I am one of people who doesn’t like to late for anything and anytime I running behind I call. When I look back there are a couple of things I can do better and that is leave earlier and check for what’s happening in the city and the best route to be on time. In saying that, the person answering the phone can show a little more compassion and grace. Thank you,

Ordered the olive skewers to start (comes with two), which were small, but tasty. Had the wagyu burger which is served medium and it was a really great burger. Very simple, but well done. Added fries to the order as well, which were also nice. Overall great food and good dining experience.

Great food and presented beautifully ,great atmosphere that was filled with cheerful and friendly staff,we didn’t like the hip hop music .

Not only was the food outstanding, but our server was exceptional. It was my partner's birthday and she had asked if I would like the key lime pie to be delivered at the end of the meal and I confirmed. By the time we had finished eating (we had a 10:00 reservation), the restaurant was clearing. The kitchen had run out of meringue and instead of substituting or stating that the dessert was unavailable, the kitchen made a fresh batch of meringue for us! The entire team at Aloette was exceptionally accommodating, warm, and gracious....and the food was noteworthy. I highly recommend!
