Alobar Downtown is nestled in the heart of Toronto's bustling Financial District. Alobar Downtown offers revelry in the bar and lounge and warmth in the dining room, both featuring menus from Michelin-starred chef Patrick Kriss. World class wines are displayed as a centrepiece to pair with choice seafood, grilled fish and prime chops. All served with genuine hospitality.

Join us for happy hour on weekdays from 2.30pm-5.30pm. Available at our bar, lounge, and our covered and heated patio.

We feature live DJ sets Wednesdays through Saturdays starting at 5pm!

Dinner was spectacular. We basically ordered the entire menu, and everything was amazing. The somm helped us pick a great btl of red that paired with our mains, and the banana cream pie was outstanding. Can’t wait to come back.

Service was average at best. Very unprofessional and pushy. Food was delicious but will not be rushing back.

steak was salty - very salty. cheesecake curst was burnt. dissapointed in food. service was excellent.

Really great experience. I great service, great pairings - there was some prejudice against us because we are not in the “ beautiful people” category - so are seating (despite not being busy” was placed - out of the way and not in view - Ali was quite happy with our $600 + bill for 2 at the end of the night. Again, no fault if service - Anthony was terrific or sommelier - but really felt 2nd class when we arrived. We are not pretty 30 somethings.

We may have picked a bad night to come but found the level of the music, type of music and noise level unpleasant.

From the time we walked in to the time we left we felt well “looked after”!! Any questions’ were answered and if they were unsure…they found out right away!! The service is what service used to be and is hard pressed to find nowadays. Now the FOOD… AMAZING , PERFECT😋😋😋😋 I’d highly recommend AloBar!!! The price point… I guess that depends on your budget… It’s not inexpensive, but totally worth every penny!! You get what you pay for!! You will not be disappointed spending your money here!!!

The food is exceptional, as expected. We ordered 2 salad n they r both very fresh with the right amount of acid and crunch. but what i really want to highlight is the dessert. We ordered a raspberry Mille feuille. The portion is very generous I would say it’s for 2-3ppl. The pastry n the cream is the second best I’ve ever had so far (the best goes to Pierre Herme in Paris). I would come back just bc of the dessert. Service is a bit slow, a bit noisy, n we r out to a very small round table while there r a lot of other bigger tables available. That’s the downside

The windows were left open - very noisy from construction. Food was good, but expensive. Lots of servers all doing their individual jobs, a few small things missed.
