Alobar Downtown is nestled in the heart of Toronto's bustling Financial District. Alobar Downtown offers revelry in the bar and lounge and warmth in the dining room, both featuring menus from Michelin-starred chef Patrick Kriss. World class wines are displayed as a centrepiece to pair with choice seafood, grilled fish and prime chops. All served with genuine hospitality.

Join us for happy hour on weekdays from 2.30pm-5.30pm. Available at our bar, lounge, and our covered and heated patio.

We feature live DJ sets Wednesdays through Saturdays starting at 5pm!

For groups of 11+, please book our Group Dining, Family Style Experience or contact us at info@alobardowntown.com.

For groups larger than 8 guests, we are unable to provide individualized bills, however we are able to process as many payments as required.

Wagyu steak was melt in the mouth - perfectly cooked and the garlicy mushrooms were the to die for. Banana cream pie dessert is very good. AloBar Downtown never dissapoints!

I’m actually surprised on a Friday night it wasn’t impossible to get in… maybe it’s still one of the best kept secrets in the core

We were there for Happy Hour, the server was very personable and made sure to take final orders before Happy Hour ended. The Prosciutto appetizer and Burger & fries were excellent! Emily at the front desk is also great.

We got in late which was dinner time our time during the week and it was a bit slower. The food was excellent. The. Service started a bit awkwardly. Was told the late night menu was not available without explanation and it was taken out of my hands. I will say the service warmed up over time and overall food was excellent with a great wine recommendation.

Friendly and attentive service, creative cocktails, and a diverse wine selection. Delicious dishes - we had the Torched Hamachi, Wedge Salad, Grilled Sea Bream, and Duck Confit Pappardelle. Conveniently located close to the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, it was the perfect dining experience before heading to the opera. Highly recommend!

We had great expectations however the experience let us down. Let me start with positives. The service amazing! The cocktails offered great choice and we enjoyed them. Sadly the meal was not great. The food was over salted and sauces were average. We had steak but were not asked how would like it. Luckily it came med rare. The dessert saved the day as it was fantastic.

Generally, pretty good. Food was very good. Sommelier was very good. However element of food service not the best.

This was my second time here, the first time was for lunch, this time was for dinner. Always happy with the service and the main entrees when I come here. I would definitely suggest trying this location out if you are curious, the vibe tended to lean more business / professional. I am anything but business/professional, I dressed up a bit but don't feel like you need to roll up full glam, but keep making a bit of effort.
