Chef Curiel makes his solo restaurant debut with Alma Fonda Fina, a restaurant dedicated to sharing the integrity, tradition and culturally rich experiences that defined his culinary journey and create a transportive dining experience that embodies the beauty of Mexico. As Chef Curiel continues to push the boundaries of taste and tradition, he pays homage to his roots and uses food as a way to showcase his cultural pride.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Le chef Johnny Curiel a grandi à Guadalajara au Mexique et débuté sa carrière comme plongeur dans le restaurant de son père à l'âge de 14 ans. Aujourd'hui, le guide Michelin le considère comme le meilleur chef junior du Colorado et a décerné une étoile à son premier restaurant en solo, l'Alma Fonda Fina. Dans un espace angulaire baigné de lumière, orné de céramiques aux teintes chaleureuses et de textiles tissés, il propose une cuisine mexicaine moderne et authentique comme l'aguachile de hamachi poêlé, la birria de jarret d'agneau et les tacos fourrés au confit de brisket mariné pendant 12 heures.

Join us in our intimate dining room of only 28 seats. We invite guests to relax in a space accented by reclaimed wood, — sourced from the oldest building in Denver — clay-inspired wall treatment, an abundance of plants that evoke the feeling of Mexico City, and artisan finds from Johnny’s home state of Guadalajara.

In lieu of a traditional bar, 8 seats line a fully immersive Chefs’ Counter where guests can connect with the kitchen and watch the team at work. The full menu is served at the Chefs' Counter.

Absolutely wonderful. Every dish we tried was decadent. Sitting at the chef’s bar added a level of engagement and enjoyment. Drinks were outstanding as well.

I really enjoyed dinner here! I reserved this place two months in advance and it was worth the wait. The food was so expertly prepared and executed. You could tell every single ingredient was made with care from scratch. The textures and seasoning of everything was so spot on. We ordered a dish from each category as recommended. Ambiance was also comfortable , for such a small space it didn't feel cramped. The music was great, the plants were beautiful and the tequila selection was also magnificent. I also really appreciated how affordable this place was. The prices did not feel overinflated at all.

Was lucky enough to get a last minute reservation, and it completely changed how my mom views mexican food. Easily the best meal I had while in Denver, everything that we ordered was amazing. Drinks were also great, highly recommend for anyone who can get a reservation.

Amazing experience. The food was phenomenal, amazing prices as well. But honestly the best was the staff and their love for the food. William was such a vibe and I can't wait to go back and try more! Thank you so much for a great experience, I wi be back

Celebrated my husband’s birthday with a late lunch at Alma Fonda Fina and it did not disappoint! We sat at the counter, which was a fantastic experience to see what goes into the dishes and the plating. I know it’s difficult to get a reservation, but it was totally worth the wait
