This was my third time visiting this restaurant and while the first two times were great, this time it was very disappointing. The place was empty at 8:30p on a Sat which was the first clue but then the service was just ok and the food was subpar, especially for the price tag. I ordered the special prawn tacos and was thoroughly disappointed when the shells were too stale to eat and the prawns did not appear freshly battered and cooked either.

Phenomenal experience. Apps, meal, and service were excellent. The steak tacos were the best we’ve ever had (they have bacon!) and the sizzling caramel brownie dessert was life changing. Our server Josh was attentive and knowledgeable. We’ll definitely return soon!

From the moment I walked into Alma Cocina, I was enveloped in a vibrant and authentic Mexican dining experience. The warm, lively atmosphere struck me immediately, enhanced by the decor and friendly staff. Rick, the host was awesome and Brittany my server was amazing! It was clear that the restaurant prides itself on using fresh, high-quality ingredients, and this commitment to excellence was evident in every dish I tried. Alma Cocina is a gem for anyone seeking an authentic Mexican dining experience. The combination of excellent food, an inviting atmosphere, and stellar service makes it a top choice for both casual meals and special occasions. The food during this last visit was not up to the usual excellent standards. The guac was very good as usual, but some of the starters were short of that standard. The ceviche was very good but there was little fish for the price. The fried chihuahua cheese was tasty, but the molcajete was nowhere near hot enough to fry or even melt the cheese and the salsa verde was completely dried up compared to what I have had previously. Still very tasty but not the complete dish. The chicken empanadas were not very interesting, merely OK. The side of sweet plantains has an intriguing spiciness that is attractive, but a few of the pieces were not fully ripe, a disappointment for platanos maduros. The meal was still good overall, but not as good as previous visits. Still will be back, and hope this was just an off night.

We enjoyed the dishes although the menu is quite limited. The shrimp tacos were great, but the Baja fish entree, while tasty, was basically a deconstructed taco presented on a large dish. Service was fine although they forgot a side we ordered and by the time it came we weren’t hungry anymore. The place is beautiful but the bathrooms were in need of attention.

We love our dinners at Alma Cocina. The service is always spot on. The food is fantastic. You really need to bring friends so you can try more dishes without over ordering.

My wife and I had an exceptional experience. The location was phenomenal. The food was great and the energy, exceptional. HANNAH our server had amazing personal options and suggestions from the menu. LUZE from the kitchen was very considerate with the timing of the food and presented great and tactful service. By far, one of the better experiences, we have had living in Atlanta and look forward to coming back!
