Alma Bistro, Cocina Latina located in North Norwalk, was founded out of a deep love for real food, food that is fresh, healthy, and authentically latino. We only use real ingredients fresh eggs, organic tomatoes, fresh water fish, and free-range chicken. We strive to make each and every dish a wholesome expression of our love for food, life, and living. Alma Bistro brings nuevo-latino soul food with an upscale twist.

Alma Bistro was born in 2022 a vision of Ulises Jimenez, head chef and owner of Don Rene Taqueria in Milford, CT, with Noberto Lucero as head chef and of course Alma Miranda. Together they've combined their passion for nuevo-latino food and custom cocktails with Alma Bistro, bringing you some of the best latino fusion in Fairfield County. Our Father’s Day dinner here was fantastic. Great location, friendly service, and excellent food! Will be back when we come to Norwalk.

This was my 2nd time to Alma Bistro. We were with friends and had the tuna tostadas crispy artichokes and empanadas to start. Based on our waiters recommendation we shared the Pollo Chacha Cha and the steak chimichurri. Everything was delicious. I particularly liked the chicken. It was great food and very friendly service! I would highly recommend.

I've been there many times and always had a good experience, but especially today, with the increased crowd for Mother's Day, the staff was on point, service was impeccable, and the food was phenomenal. SO many food options it was hard to choose. It was again a wonderful experience all around.

Joyful, delicious Sunday brunch with family and friends. Loved the guitarist’s music and excellent service. Felt like a mini vacation!

I went to the Alma on a Wednesday evening at 8:00 PM. There was only one other party of two, which made the restaurant busier than the rest of uptown Norwalk. The staff, limited to the owner chef and his wife, it appeared, were attentive and service was excellent. I ordered arroz y frijoles and a nacho like side dish with slices of tuna, jalepeno, and an incredibly well suited drizzle akin to what one might find with sushi. The combined flavors were fantastic. This meal, served with a 20 oz. Modelo beer was a very reasonable 30.00. Alma is located away from the Sono district on Wall Street, Norwalk, so unless there is a performance at the neighboring theater of performing art(music, plays), expect a quiet, low key experience with great food.

Very good Latin American food and varied menu. Attentive and friendly service. Street parking sometimes an issue. I found the music, while nice, a bit loud for the space and inconsistent with the Latin American vibe.
