    I have planned my partner’s big 60th birthday celebration months ahead. He decided to choose Alloro at the Ritz to celebrate his big mile stone. When we got there the young lady at the main lobby was so sweet and kind. She ordered us a golf cart ride to the restaurant. I had bought him a bottle of Dom Perignon to celebrate. The hostess was super sweet. Then the nightmare began. Our server Valerie came and greeted us. She noticed we brought a bottle of champagne and said she would be right back. She didn’t come back with the ice bucket until 17 minutes later, AND no champagne flutes. We had already looked at the menu prior and ordered everything right away. The salad and the app came out. Well, I know we brought our own champagne, but she did not come by and check on us after. We had to pour our own champagne the entire evening. The food took almost an hour to come out. His carbonara dish was cold. I tried it and he was right it was cold. My frutti di mare was barely luke warm. He was already not happy with the service and after waiting for almost an hour the pasta came out cold. He was so upset that he didn’t want to have dinner on his 60th birthday and we fought about it. The whole entire evening was ruined. He thought picking a restaurant at a hotel like the Ritz is a superb choice, it was a complete disaster. Basically he ate two polenta cake and some bread. The icing on the cake was the birthday platter that he saw online is one of the main reasons he chose Alloro. Our waiter came back after I ate alone and asked if we would like dessert instead of bringing out the happy birthday dessert platter. He was so mad that he just wanted to leave. Manager came by and checked on us, but unfortunately the entire evening was completely ruined. I cannot believe the Ritz will have such poor execution. I have no words to describe how bad our night ended, especially we have planned this months ahead. We had gone to the Sunset Grilled the night before and it was wonderful.

    Great waitress, stray cats hanging out on the balcony and soup. However, waited literally an hour for the entree which finally arrived cold, overcooked and incredibly tough. Given that it was a prix fix menu with only nine total menu options including three desserts, and I was only the second table seated, I don't know how they screwed up so badly. I'll never go back. Horribly disappointing Christmas Eve.

    View was spectacular. Food was good and our server was fantastic. Bar and drinks were great too!

    Please be advised this restaurant was not quite up to Ritz Carlton standards I ordered a half chicken received a leg and wing about 35 minutes later with very cold mashed potatoes…. Chicken had been cooking for 24 hours. Horrible. Service was so bad do not put yourself through this…

    Excellent lay out, ambiance, food was great, live music really hit the spot. My wife really liked it there! Will go back.

    We were a party of 3 having a 4 year friends’ reunion. We had the lunch menu; the snapper sandwich and Giovanni pizza which was excellent in presentation and taste. The servers were all friendly and helpful. We had excellent service all around. We also had the Virgin Islands Rock City Coffee brewed to perfection and we were given a nice portion of vacuumed sealed beans for my friends to take back home as souvenirs. The security at the gate need to take some notes on how to greet and treat guests entering. Thankfully, the lovely staff at the restaurant made up for that initial souring experience ten times over. We will definitely be back to enjoy another experience at Alloro.

    Absolutely LOVED our experience at Alloro! We went for our anniversary dinner while on vacation in St. Thomas - we stayed at another resort but came here for dinner - and the staff made it so special, definitely something we will not forget! We got to sit at special table overlooking the water at night, there also happened to be a full moon lighting up the water. In addition to making our anniversary special, they also had many gluten free options for me - including gluten free bread!!! - which was an extra treat! The brussel sprouts were amazing, we also had the gluten free pasta dish and the catch of the day! Incredible experience, fantastic staff, beautiful resort. The price is comparable to other nice restaurants on the island but the service and ambiance is head and shoulders above. Highly recommend Alloro, we will definitely be going back!
