Allora Ristorante, a fine-dining Italian restaurant located in the heart of Midtown, New York City. Outfitted with a carrera marble bar and herringbone floors, Allora transports diners to the spirit of old New York with a well-heeled twist. Allora's menu is rooted in Northern Italian-American specialties and offers a wide selection of homemade pasta, as well superior grass-fed steaks aged in house for 28 days and classic seafood dishes like Clams Oreganata. Other specialties include tableside preparations of old-school favorites like a traditional Caesar Salad, the "Godfather" Grilled Branzino, Flambées, Zabaglione, and more. I don’t know where to start. First of all, there was a table of 15 guys screaming and yelling right next to us. The bread was stale, my friend who’s not a drinker asked for a cup of coffee it took 20 minutes to get it. the cream was sour so there was cottage cheese instead of milk and his Coffee took me 20 minutes to get a drink and then my godson had to go upfront and find someone to bring us our check. But I did tip over 20% but I will never go back there again.

Being gracious to the establishment, it appears restaurant week was mislabeled on Open Table saying both lunch and dinner prix fixe. However the restaurant only had one from 11 am - 5 pm. In any case we decided to stay and enjoy. The service was attentive yet detached, where I can understand giving diners privacy but (for example) we sat there for a bit without menus. The food was delivered in a timely manner, where we tried the rigatoni and the fish with shrimp and tomatoes. All in all it does feel like an old timey Manhattan timely restaurant, so choose accordingly.

Major complaint- second year in a row and there always seems to be a loud group of people who don’t care. It’s a very small an upscale restaurant. The lovely appetizers they give you gratis is a lovely gesture. It is a bit pricey but delicious! We went because we had a gift certificate.

First time coming to this restaurant and I was WOWED everything was delicious. Everything was an experience within an experience will definitely be coming back! My waiters, Frank Morina and Nole were truly amazing they made the experience even better. I can’t wait to come back, we came here for our anniversary and it truly exceeded expectations!!
