Allen's is reminiscent of a New York City saloon from ages past. The tin ceiling, the wood floors and the cozy old bar make it an experience in itself. Yet Allen's also has a fabulous menu that is sure to inspire and delight.

I was treated to an early birthday lunch and we dined on Sunday June 30- we had a 1 pm reservation. My friend ordered Allen's famous hand-ground burger topped with goat cheese (which I will definitely try next time). I ordered fish and chips and the halibut was cooked to perfection as were the hand-cut fries. My friend also ordered their organic greens salad. We toasted with a glass of Pinot Grigio and Tawse Rose`. Our meals were delicious and our service provided by Anthony was excellent. We also shared a piece of Guinness chocolate cake to complete the celebration. Thanks, Anthony, for making our experience lovely (as you always do).

We sat out on the patio which is in the back of the restaurant away from the street - lovely space. The food was good and the staff was friendly and professional.

Lovely local pub with a nice atmosphere. The service was excellent and their burgers are amazing. They are made in-house . . . 6 oz., hormone/antibiotic free limousin beef (per their menu). Also had a side of rosemary, baked, polenta chips served with a curry mayo which was very good.

We ate at Allen’s based on a neighbour’s recommendation. The service was prompt. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was friendly and energetic. Would definitely encourage people to give this place a try!

We ordered the barbecue specials; blackened salmon and grilled vegetables with goat cheese. Both were delicious. Our server was great!

Allen’s is simply the best. A longtime friend (45+ yrs) and I have lunch at Allen’s every three months (we schedule the next lunch before we leave) and it (Allen’s) is always the perfect venue. My friend - a native Long Island / New Yorker of very Irish descent - always has the Lamb Shank and it’s always awesome. He just devours it. I always have the “Basic” Burger…which is anything but basic…because unlike many / most restaurants, they’ll happily cook and serve it medium rare. Always perfectly done. Always delicious. With or without matchstick fries and always with a side of mushrooms and paired with a Kilkenny … the perfect guy lunch. Forever fan.

We really enjoyed our meals, perfect serving size! The service was great, fast, efficient, and pleasant. As Arnold said….,,we’ll be back!
