Main takeaways were the food and ambiance were phenomenal! The service we got from our waiter was subpar. We asked for bread and never saw it, asked for separate checks and he got frustrated at our request and we felt like we barely saw him. We had an amazing buser. She was attentive with our water glasses and always made sure our table was clean and we were taken care of. Lastly, the bathroom was not very well maintained at all. For such an upscale atmosphere, it felt disappointing to walk into a filthy bathroom.

"We recently dined at Allegro in Little Italy, San Diego, and it was an amazing experience! The ambiance was charming and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing evening out. The food was delicious, with each dish bursting with flavor. The drinks were expertly crafted, complementing the meal perfectly. Dessert was the cherry on top, absolutely delectable. The customer service was outstanding, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!"

The restaurant was beautiful and the food was great the service could’ve been better the waiters brought out the wrong drinks twice and put our plate down and started talking to us in the middle of our prayer which isn’t too bad but usually something waiters are contentious of

Had a 7:00pm reservation. Showed up 30 minutes before and was seated upon arrival. Both service and staff were very friendly and polite. Food was excellent and very pleasant environment.

I had heard good things so my wife and I checked it out. We were disappointed from the moment we walked in and our experience got progressively worse. Listen, I’m not one to give a bad review but I’d like to save your money and suggest finding a different restaurant. Ok, the short and not so sweet. 1. The service was sub par. It took a long while to be greeted and the server seemed rushed. That’s how it went all evening. Long wait times then a hurried encounter. Very uncomfortable, didn’t feel welcomed. Bottom line, the staff were unprofessional. 2. The food was ok, but not worth the money. We had the grilled octopus, the portion was small and mostly potatoes. The meat and cheese board was boring and common. It lacked imagination and enthusiasm. The lamb osso bucco was very dry and flavorless, and the risotto was like soggy oatmeal. 3. The restaurant smelled strongly of cheap cleaning supplies. All in all, not impressed and won’t be returning.

We had a group of 8 of us here on a Saturday night at 6pm. While it was busy, we were there early enough before the rush of the Saturday night crowd came in. We really wanted to like this place however it fell short. It took over an hour to get our meal. Tables around us who were seated after us were served and finished before us. When the pasta arrived, it was cold and you could tell it was sitting out for a while. This was unfortunate because the food was tasty. 2 people at our table ordered the pasta in the cheese wheel. When they came to serve us, they said they didn’t want to push the cheese wheel and we would need to stand up and leave our table to walk to the cart if we wanted to see them make it. This didn’t make sense as we saw them cart the cheese wheel back and forth between our table all night. Overall not the best, wish we could have had a better dining experience.

Service and ambiance were great! Did not taste like real Italian though.. octopus was bland and pasta just tasted very mid.

Great place to enjoy a romantic dinner. The lemon room is a good mix of inside and outside. The old-fashion cocktail was perfect. And the pasta in the cheese wheel was delicious. Look for Marco to treat you right.

I enjoyed the restaurant. The buratta salad was excellent; however, the pasta bolognese lacked some seasoning, which is why I gave the food rating a 4. The service was good. I sat outside, which was pleasant.
