Alla Famiglia has been delighting local and traveled guests in this very same location for over two decades. This "diamond in the rough" is conveniently located on the hilltop of Pittsburgh's South Side. Boasting a fine dining atmosphere, its family owned and operated, and promises to deliver a consistent product with every visit. You will be greeted and treated like family, as you enjoy homemade scratch Italian specialties, an award winning wine list, and complex scratch cocktails. Dine in an old world atmosphere under paddle fans, exposed brick, antiquities from all around the world. Six unique and interestingly decorated dining rooms comprises the character of this institution which started with just 8 tables, 25 years ago. Choose from daily provisioned fishes and exotics from the sea, dry and wet aged Prime beef, tender milk fed veal, and homemade maccheroni are just some of the choices you will have to select from. Crown the evening with our pastries prepared on site.

Food and service were good. They don't serve as much food before the start of the meal which is a good thing. Pasta side never disappoints. My only complaint is the $1.00 up-charge for the big ice cube. After spending $500, it's off putting to be charged for an ice cube.

This is my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh. The only Italian food I have had that approaches this was in NYC. Just a great place, don’t hesitate to enjoy it!!

Our favorite restaurant never disappoints! Great service and better food. Our friend from out of town raved. The raspberry tiramisu is not to be missed.

Exceptional dining experience. The wait staff were superb and the food was incredible. Table side cacio pepe is absolutely the best in the 'burgh and my lamb osso bucco was amazing.

Another amazing meal! The server was wonderful and knowledgeable, able to make recommendations and answer all questions regarding dishes/wine selections. The food is outstanding. The Branzino which is a special offering right now was phenomenal. This is a special occasion restaurant that goes above and beyond in every way. The quality is reflected in the cost, but well worth every penny. Our dinner was over 2 hours, so be prepared to sit back and enjoy!!

This was our third time there. It is a truly an excellent restaurant: delicious food—so much food; welcoming and caring service on the phone and upon arrival; and outstanding service, as from Gabriela, and the staff who attended to our table.
