Alla Famiglia has been delighting local and traveled guests in this very same location for over two decades. This "diamond in the rough" is conveniently located on the hilltop of Pittsburgh's South Side. Boasting a fine dining atmosphere, its family owned and operated, and promises to deliver a consistent product with every visit. You will be greeted and treated like family, as you enjoy homemade scratch Italian specialties, an award winning wine list, and complex scratch cocktails. Dine in an old world atmosphere under paddle fans, exposed brick, antiquities from all around the world. Six unique and interestingly decorated dining rooms comprises the character of this institution which started with just 8 tables, 25 years ago. Choose from daily provisioned fishes and exotics from the sea, dry and wet aged Prime beef, tender milk fed veal, and homemade maccheroni are just some of the choices you will have to select from. Crown the evening with our pastries prepared on site.

The service by Gabriella was top notch. She was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and made our dining experience even better than expected with her suggestions. The food was prepared perfectly and absolutely delicious. Alla Famiglia never misses. It’s our favorite restaurant in the city and we can’t wait until next time.

The filet gorganzola was perfectly cooked! The salad and cacio pepe are must haves! The desserts were delicious ! Best place to celebrate your Anniversary!

Beth was fantastic. We came in for a “Friendsgiving” night out and had a great time. Food was wonderful, service was great. Loved it!! For many of us it was our first time too!!

10/10 would recommend sitting at the bar for dinner. Bartender Tony is fantastic; offers great recommendations, makes fantastic drinks, and makes just the right amount of conversation.

Tony our server and Bar manager was amazing. He had wondered descriptions of the various items on the menu and was helpful in making suggestions. The service he provided was outstanding and d the food was delicious. We sat at the bar and had a wonderful time visiting with other guests and he’s superb attention from Tony.

What a lovely first time experience for a milestone celebration! Jessica at the front of the house easily accommodated our time in reservation since we weren’t going to make our original time and our server, Courtney, was wonderful and made us feel like we’ve dined there all the time. It’s wonderful to see such a diverse staff and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. The food was delicious and we tried both pastas. The cavatappi Alla vodka was our favorite. So simple and delicious. The cacio e Pepe being made table side was unexpected and wonderful. We love cooking and hosting in our own family so that felt super special and unique!
